- In this Undertale mod, my soul is ALWAYS green, meaning I can't move anymore but can only block bullets with a shield! It's just like how it is in the Undyne fight, but now for every single battle in the game! So, what happens in Undertale when you can't dodge but are forced to block instead? How much easier or harder do enemies like Sans become?

I like the idea of frisk confidently holding their shield at the gaster blaster and the immediately getting disintegrated by the attack

Fun fact: the shield that you have is a spear Undyne gives you to defend yourself to have a fair fight. So every attack you defend, you're essentially batting it away with the shaft of a spear.
Visualizing this with some of the more complex or weird attacks in the game is fun.

I actually met that gaster follower on my first ever playthrough of Undertale and was really confused when people started talking about gaster like a big mystery, since to me he was just that minor character that had alphys job before her.
This comment gave me hope for the undertale community at large

But patience died in the ruins. So the one who spent so long they starved is either justice or kindness. Probably kindness considering that they are kindness. They probably wouldn't want to reveal who alphys has a crush on to everyone.
@@Chara_Dreemurr1 Kindness doesn’t mean they can’t have a sense of humor and slightly pick on alphys, in fact I would say that the kindness soul wouldn’t be limited to being a pacifist, they will fight back if they have to, they had a weapon for a reason. I actually think that the other soul traits are like this too, they don’t have to always act according to their trait, I think there are times where bravery could have been scared, and where patience could have been impatient, that’s realistic human behavior.

Yellow would be simple.
Purple would be so interesting.

Who knows,we might even get custom soul challenges like for orange and cyan.
Another idea is undertale but you are always red.
Even in fights like undyne or sans.
Maybe even some crazy ideas that I wouldn’t be able to think of.

I'm really wondering if you'll be able to block extremely consistent attacks. It would be a bit too OP if it could just block literally everything without a single slip up.

Btw you cant actually die on the mattaton quiz. He always damages you the half of your hp and when you get to 1 hp the quiz just ends.
At the end , when the soul turned cyan , the blasters were so strong the sheild litterally unglued from the soul

if it isnt too hard to code, they probably coulda made the mad dummy fight work better by making the shield reflect her bullets
they also couldve adjusted the questions in the mettaton quiz to be in the 4 cardinal directions around the soul and let you answer by making the sheild face the question

Mad dummy/glad dummy/mad mew mew (all the same character, same ghost just in different bodies) use she and they, so if you had used they before the edit, that would have also been correct

To be fair, in undertale, there's two ghosts that posses dummies (the training dummy in ruins and mad dummy), and pretty much the only common pronoun they don't use between them is he/him (mad dummy is she/they and training dummy is it/they)
Mettaton is a ghost (that possesses a variety of robotic bodies) that exclusively uses he/him pronouns, if you really want your representation in ghosts in a video game.
The four ghosts in undertale mostly use they/them (Blooky they/them, training dummy it/they, mad dummy she/they, then the exception to the rule mettaton he/him)
If the trans ghost thing is the bit you don't like then you're in the wrong place. Just talking about canon queer main characters in undertale, we've got: Chara (non-binary), Frisk (also non-binary), Blooky (once again, non-binary), Undyne (lesbian), Alphys (bi), probably more that I can't think of off the top of my head
And even if mettaton isn't explicitly queer, he literally wears a dress in one scene so that's got to count for something (and he doesn't get offended/insulted if you call him a woman in his battle, trust me, I've tested it)

My headcannon is that at the end of the Sans fight Frisk just grabs their shield and beats the shit out of the Gaster Blasters and that is why they leave it, because it's broken from smashing it against the attacks.

It could work like there is a small circle where an attack has to pass throught to actually move or it could invert you controls

This whole video reminds me of a fangame or two that involves Gaster where the SOUL has different traits of the other SOUL mechanics
since the shield is supposed to be undyne's spear, i see frisk stabbing the gaster blasters, during the blaster circle.

Technically, you wouldn't need to disable the mod for the first Mettaton encounter. If you decided to do the Punch Card skip (but also this can potentially skip like the entire second half of the story, notably every Mettaton encounter, probably defeating the purpose of the challenge).
I can understand why the normal Undyne fight had to remain unchanged because there would otherwise be no way to spare her, but why couldn't Undyne the Undying change? The green attacks would obviously be the same, but the red attacks might have been interesting. Also, why weren't you able to get the pacifist ending?
I feel like green soul would be op against asriel.
But really, why couldn't we get a Pacifist run?
No pacifist run because they probably had done a Genocide or Pacifist run right beforehand and didn’t want to go back.
You need to do a neutral One before doing a pacifist

Honestly, this was just super satisfying to see. There really is a lot of potential behind the game untapped...not in the AU-kind of way because god no people explored literally everything possible there, but rather in the side of applying gameplay-mechanics in an interessting way.
I wonder if this is gunna be all codded to work with green attacks

You do have to hit him with some of the cotton balls at the start but ironically you don’t have to hit him with any of the rockets or cotton in phase 2
