Honestly, for middle school students, this is impressive, they are all in perfect time and playing the right notes.
this is impressive for a middle school band?? My middle school had to learn this in under a week to play with a small highschool band to which we had more members than they did and we sounded just as good as they did.
Yeah it’s pretty impressive but as a middle school band student about to go into high school there are a lot more impressive things to play than seven nation army
“Perfect time” might be a stretch, they ended going about 20bpm faster than they started, but it’s a great effort for middle school!
What they didn't know is that they will play this as a peptune later in highschool at football games 😎
I’m a sophomore sousa player in my hs Marching band and last year after halftime and the varsity show our section would play seven nation/sonic boom in the student section , section leade this year hasn’t done it yet unfortunately
My middle school band is always out of tune, congratulations to these guys
There’s something about band playing Seven Nation Army that really gets me. It’s probably my favorite feeling when on a Friday night, its dark out, the band plays it, the super loud drums kick in, and the guard starts spinning. Maybe its just me, but band is freaking awesome
I feel like the trombone should be totally over power the saxophones. Though I say this as a former high school trombone player. Lol
@@l.8413He said he feels that the trombone SHOULD overpower the saxophone, not that it does. No one said the saxophone wasn’t louder, doofus.
@@chriswebster24 no need to say doofus man, they just misread/misunderstood the comment
tbh I’m just sad there was only one trombone. Saxophone is so much more popular these days but trombone really is an amazing instrument. I’m not just saying this because I play it, I play both.
They sound better than our high school band 💀
Ommmggg broooo this gives me SO many memories from last year! I play tenor and I’m the only girl sax and literally all the guy altos would ALWAYS play this…
These guys have good future to become a band
@@khyron2010 it’s ok but you don’t have to be really good to have good tone. I practiced a couple days a week and I got good tone. I wasn’t super good
These kids can play better then my entire high school band class hands down.
Maybe I’ll do some more of these band student videos tell me if I should do more
This is me and the rest of the band class when our teacher is teaching another student and we get bored
I was told if I practice it in class we would never play it again I guess they learned from last year 😂😂😂😂
This blew up so much that the band director of this school had to mention it IN CLASS. I should’ve posted it, I still have the recording 🥲
This was my favorite song to play. I got to play over everyone and didn’t get yelled at. I was a tuba and in the backgrounds for almost every song and this was the best.
My high school marching band plays this when the football players come on the field, and we’re the second largest band in state (including colleges) so it’s pretty awesome to hear.
Yesss I’m in marching band with high schoolers and middle schoolers since we are small band and when at the middle school we get time to do whatever we will all come in a circle and play stand tunes together, it doesn’t sound as good without high schoolers but it’s so fun
I’m saying this as a tuba player needs a low tuba part just my opinion though
I agree. Me and my friend on trombone will do it periodically and it sounds awesome.
“I need Baritone”
- DaPinchy, Skylanders Trap Team
MORE ARTICULATION - a phrase every saxophone player will hear for the rest of there career
I remember in 7th to 8th grade the tuba players would randomly play this
As an alto sax and baritone sax player, I can say that the trombone was the hardest instrument played in this video. Very impressive.
I had a buddy of mine who played the saxophone in high school, of course we went to Stafford schools but he still knew how to play that thing, last I heard he was married. Then surprise me, because if you play a saxophone you're an instant hit with the ladies. That's a given.
I need to get my band to play this.
at my middle school we're only able to play Power Rock cuz half the kids can't even play the 5 basic notes on their respective instrement
@@LayzCamperrtrust me once you get up into advanced or intermediate the people you work with sounds a lot better trust me
@@LayzCamperr Your band is fucking retarded then, even the beginning band at my school's smarter than that, no offense.
The video is at 100k views thanks so much let’s try to get 1m which will take a long time
Last years concert my band class played seven nation army, it was really freaking cool and sometimes even now during band class I can randomly hear someone playing the melody
That kids voice is the embodiment of middle school
Pretty sure the second kid from the left grew up to have a viral video where his son slams the oven door as he plays.
Even though its the wrong Key for marching band, these bamd kids are gona be the best Marching saxophones in their Highschool days
This is fire I’m speechless
I can’t stop watching this
I don’t approve of NOT having a tuba player in this, this is a song made for the Tubas and you exclude them. Such a disappointment for the Tubas.
Y'all should tune
they’re literal children, let them be, they’re probably still learning
@@prob.spiderman I know they are learning, its just a suggestion for better tone quality and s good lesson to learn.
We do all play that at the end of every single sing can confirm
My middle school played it during a football game. Only one person said we did good so after the game. People were slowly starting to leave when we ran on the football field and played the entire series of songs. We got an appliase
It’s pretty simple and fun, I’m happy that they have learned it
Every saxophone player at our school blast this every morning.
I hear this everyday because it’s just so beautiful, plus I play the trombone and the notes sound perfect and so right, also the saxophone pretty good they killed it
Schools are finally getting kids playing good music
I’m in my band at school and we get to play this and when you have 40 people playing it sounds amazing
As a band kid, I can confirm that these are, in fact, band kids.
Here before the CZcams algorithm recommends this video to everyone in 10 years.
Those saxophones are so pure
Then practicing there entire middleschool career for this one moment
Our highschool band plays that every time there’s a football game! It always gets the crowns so hyped! I play the clarinet and bass drum :)
With being a High school band member, this is very amazing. I love saxophone and trombones part in this song. Though I play flute, this is amazing.
I’ve played this one flute and it was my first year playing and I was in middle school it’s such a fun song to play
As a symphonic winds member, WOW their timing is amazing
They need a baritone to give that chefs kiss of a bass
Y’all don’t understand how much I enjoy playing this song
When they are in highschool they will be the best
That’s what we’re practicing in my school
Me as middle school advanced band can say that they are going places
we play this at our football games with our whole middle school marching band
They have a great band teacher
I am in middle school and I am almost there and I actually play the saxophone so I watch this every day and I try to learn the saxophone. I am inspired by this video!!
Get this going at a school basketball/football game
The trombone holding it like a clarinet
THESE MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE ON POINT
People actually enjoying band in middle school! I'm jealous. My school has made certain electives mandatory, including band; sooooo literally everyday I hear kids saying how much they hate band and the teacher while I'm the only one that actually enjoys it 🥲 Sounded amazing excellent job!
Best school band ever tbh
Every middle school pep band ever:
YEAH SAXES!!!!! I'm in high school and play the alto sax and I've always wanted my band to play that song.
we were given this song in band class and then never played it *sigh*
I performed fortunate son in 8th grade and instead of a lead singer we interpreted the lyrics as a saxophone part. We won first place in that competition.
Me and a few of my friends have the whole song memorized and we drive everyone insane with it😎
I am playing this song in Symphonic Band, and it's the best song to play for a warm up.
These kids are better than my band. They are good and this is one of my favorite songs too.
here before this pops up in 10 years
That one group when the teacher leaves
Zero shot those are Middle Schoolers dude. Amazing job.
This is actually really good for middle schoolers!!
Is nobody gonna talk about the duck tape on the trombone slide? No just me? Okay 🤣😅
Spit value was leaking making it awful you can check out the other seven nation army video on my shorts page we had him play it better
7 nations army is one of my high school’s main music lol
My Middle School Band plays at our middle school football games and we play all of this stuff.
You can tell these guys are total lady magnets
I am so happy to see that you’re having fun and that your mom ❤
as an alto saxophonist this is one of my favorite songs to play (tho our version was different)
Band kid energy with the fits💀
I'm in highschooler and during out lunch break at band camp we were shredding guitars and a fellow percussionist was playing trap set. It was awesome.
Our marching band has seven nation army as some of our football game music
The band when the director leaves for 2 seconds :
You guys are going places! (From a former band member)
My band did that too. I play bass guitar. They did good!!!
my class except for one or two couldn't come this close if we practiced for a while. great job guys!!
My county recently had we’re all middle school come together then we had to learn seven nation army by memory in 7 mins at the football grips
my band group hasn't officially learned this yet we have all just kind of picked up by ear after the high-school band played it at a football game
As a sax player I can say that trombone is carrying
I need these kids in my hs marching band 💀
Better talent than my High School's concert band
That last part tho
Fr
They could've tried to get a tenor kid in to play the bass riff while the altos are pianissimo an octave above until the higher parts midway through the song, with the trombone as a bassline (not the central theme, but accompanying it even lower) all throughout
It's not a very hard song, so I bet if someone rearranged it they would be able to play a much better version than all of them playing the same part.
@@Klara_S. yup ur right. I play tenor and they sound a little off but good for them for having confidence while playing. I never had..
@@maizey_daisy6862 yeah. I played tenor in middle school, and I 100% wouldn't have the confidence to do this. I squeaked every 5 seconds for grades 6 and 7 anyway.
Go subscribe to kippydips he was one of the saxophones
