I don’t wear headphones when I work in the garden because I love the birdsong, so this video is the best. These walk through tours let me refresh my memory of where everything is in your garden. Identifying each plant would be the ultimate in another video.

I am experiencing extreme post- FOMO for not coming to your open-garden... You 2 have done such an amazing job with your absolutely stunning garden, but there is another side of this that I am just in awe of.... The long hours and hard work that have obviously gone into this garden , in addition to the HortTube channel, with the planning, filming, and editing is truly inspiring. I have learned so much in the 2 years I have been following you and Steph. When people see my garden for the first time they always comment on how diverse it is (clown college), LOL....Thanks so much for the tremendous amount of knowledge you have shared with your adoring public, and I personally can never thank you enough....I have also enjoyed both your LTG series and the companion series as well. I love consulting both series because they encourage me to keep going, and to trouble shoot as well. You both are amazing humans!

Steph and you have been working so darn hard to get your garden looking the best it ever has.
    Congratulations on accomplishing that feat!
Hope your open garden went well and you inspired others.
One thing I would add is some pops of white colour to really show off all of your planted colours of limes, yellows and green perenials....just to soften the huge variety and let the eye relax to take it all it.
Not just annuals, but something that can establish and return year after year and possibly be divided.
Like groupings of shasta daisies or even the new banana and white feverfew, instead of the old variety.
Also "white swan" cornflowers can break up the green..."white miniature guara" can also add some height and movement.
Actually America is known to have a wide variety of grasses that have seed pods that are pale pink and move so gracefully in the breeze.
Some more silver leaved plants would be lovely as a softener too. Dust miller and lambs ears are 2, I can think of, but there must be many more.
The blue hydrangeas and larger flowered deep blue salvias are a great choice of cool colours and were a pleasant as far as colour goes.
Im sure you have a huge variety to chose from in your area.
And can you fit another chair up in the entrance to your home?
Might be nice to add a swing seat for the both of you, with cup holders, to enjoy all the hard work and dedication you have both made over the years.
Looking forward to the next video, from Jo in wintery NZ.😊🎉

Yes, do a detailed walkabout. I am in the process of getting my gardens ready for a garden tour. Really nervous as we keep having tons of rain and wind. Dealing with wind-whipped plants, saturated soil-concerned for root rot and powdery mildew. Despite that many plants are blooming beautifully but very early. My gardens seem to be peaking now. Very unusual. I am concerned that there will be nothing blooming the middle of July for the tour! Everything is blooming together which I have never seen before. Day lilies, Shasta daisies, phlox (early and late), clematis, astilbe (early and late), salvia, asiatic lilies, roses, coneflower, pin cushion, lady’s mantle, hostas etc… It is gorgeous when it’s not raining which is causing some plants to not bloom as long. Annuals are not performing as well as usual as they are waterlogged and have had limited sun. We have had several years of drought so this is a whole new way to figure out what each garden bed needs as I have different types of soil in my sun beds vs. shade beds. And then, of course, there are the deer and rabbits to contend with which is a worry too. Bugs have been prolific. I really sound like a Debbie downer….I think it is just the stress of this tour coming up. I really do love gardening. Such a joy to see the fruits of your labor.❤

We love the birdsong as well. We do not have nearly the species diversity on a lot that is several times the size of the Putnam property. We have reduced lawn and planted a lot of natives. It seems to be having an effect, because we are seeing and hearing a lot more birds. Additionally, I was outside at twilight yesterday and the yard was full of fireflies- which is a new thing. But wide angle lens aside, how you two manage to fit so much in a sub 1/4 acre lot is impressive.

Wish I was there to see your beautiful garden! And would be great to learn more about all the plants and trees you’ve updated with. Thanks!!!

Your gardens look amazing, and it's obvious all the love and attention you two put into them. At 13:52, I noticed the annuals planted in circles with one annual in the middle -- looks like begonias maybe. Love it! I'm going to copy that idea next year.
