2023 Marching Audio: John B. Alexander High School

Easily the most complex setup of the year. Very thankful to be back with them again!
The big request from the show designer is to have the ability to send any audio source in the audio system into Cubase for digital FX processing. By connecting all the microphones directly to the mixer, and creating several auxiliary bus sends to the Focusrite audio interface, we're able to pass microphone signal straight through to the speaker stacks or divert them into Cubase for processing. This arrangement not only gives better control over what goes into Cubase, but gives redundancy in the event that the laptop is unavailable for use (such as overheating).
The microphone cabling itself is quite straightforward, but the console bus and Cubase routing is fairly complex.
