Ironically, Cliff always went much lighter on all of his daughters, yet they all dropped much bigger bombs on Cliff over the years. Theo actually didn't drop out, didn't get married in secret, didn't scare them about being lost, and didn't do anything else like that.
Actually Theo was their best child because he genuinely had a problem his dyslexia which he diagnosed himself, Cliff being a doctor and Claire so intelligent did not figure out Theo had a learning disability for all his life. Theo found help himself, strangers understood him better, a problem his parents didn't know was the cause of his low grades in school but they ridiculed him for measuring up to the girls. He fought to get his life on track and everything he earned was by his own merit, graduate dean's list and successful job that actually services others, none of which his sisters accomplished despite having all their faculties.
True, but he did end up throwing a wild party at the house which nearly destroyed everything!!! And he moved in with his girlfriend without telling his parents!!!
The chemistry between Mr. Cosby (Steve) and Malcom Jamal (Theo) is incredible. Steve is the best dad, ever, best everything, and I love the way he is a real person, with some quirky elements too. Only Bill Cosby could have braught alive this endearung character. Respect....
Growing up watching and learning from the Huxtible? book. It breaks my heart to see what is happening now. As a child you believe in everything. As an adult you believe nothing.
Honest Person Yeah, that should happen but just bc he was one of many abusers doesn’t make his crime any less of a crime. It is truly such a horror that this comic genius who did so much for society during his career ruined a legacy with such a horror. It’s heartbreaking and unfathomable. I made a decision to separate the horrible things Cosby did from my enjoyment of this show. I can’t let what he did take away the safe space this show gave me during my formative years nor let it challenge those ideals that I’ve kept as an adult. It’s just really sad.
Honest Person that’s the same as asking why Epstein was singled out. The question u should be asking is why the hell did he do such terrible things and get away with for so long.
Honest Person are u deranged? Of course that’s just as horrible but is this CZcams video about either of those ppl? What in the hell are you defending? Get to the point. If you are suggesting that Cosby is a scapegoat bc he is black and therefore we should excuse his behaviour then come out and say that and stop commenting vaguely. Get to your real point. In saying that, of course there is an history of racial prejudice against the crimes of a person of colour over white people crimes. But what Cosby did went past that prejudice bc he actually did it and the nature of his crime had more to do with his own privilege and power than systemic racism. Get to the point.
People making a big deal about this. He asked his son for help. He live in the house, he should want to volunteer without question. And if he feel that his son done a good job. Then maybe he should be rewarded. I don't feel i should pay my child all the time. They should earn it they should want to help out. And if i feel they deserve it. Then they'll get something in return. It does not have to always be about money. Respect and responsibility. You as a parent don't get pay for cleaning your own house, they should be able to t without question. You get allowance when you earned it. A "CHILD" shouldn't have their hand out every time you asked them to do something for them. They're going to be the first ones to drop you off at the nursing home. Because they use to having a handout. And soon has that stop, when you get old enough, that's where you're going. Don't spoil your kids Everytime they asked. It not about money. Who gives a damn if he played a doctor. Money or no money that's life. Responsibilities!!
Yes, My Cousin one day was changing his Tire, and another Cousin had offered to help, only if he gets "Paid". My Cousin was very angry and was told to "Get Lost!" in a more intense fashion.
This is one of my favorites segments of The Cosby Show.............Was looking for this exact segment.....Apperciate the upload!!!!!! The Cosby Show.....Best Sictcom Ever!!! Hands Down!!!!!!!!!!!
Man it would of been so funny to have seen them continue with this, parents wake up see snow coming in, Theo just says hey dad remember the babysitting situation. Dad just freezes & think.
I love your Crosby and I will guide to keep watching over him and get him through anything hes going to no matter what Stay strong bill you gonna be all right God got your back you gonna be alright A man
Mrs. Davis would've gotten paid. Denise would've gotten paid. You want Theo to show responsibility? Pay the boy, but be sure he knows pay is commensurate with the quality of his work. It's not like Theo asked *before* agreeing to do it....
There's no way to tell if Denise would have gotten paid. Obviously, Mrs. Davis would have to be paid because she's technically taking care of someone else's kids on her own time. But, Denise or Theo are taking care of their younger siblings and there's no need to be paid for that. It's not like Rudy was too young to take care of herself or anything. I'm pretty sure the job is: Don't let them get into trouble and get them to bed on time.
That’s the way it was when I was growing up. My parents didn’t abuse us, but they had expectations that we had too meet. Sure you could lie but what was the point you’d get caught eventually if you did that . If you ever said anything about your rights as a child -My parents told you have the rights we wanna give you. Which meant you earned them or it was your arse! 👍👍
Like when Theo says Nobody asks Denise to shovel the side walk, then Cliff says Good point. First off why don't they confirm this later on with the mom, and secondly I've never seen anyone on this sitcom shovel the snow ever. That's the problem with these sitcoms they'll say something like I got into a car accident but you won't actually see it and then they act like he did when he never did.
wheelrchair1 the jitterbug break. It was from season 1 back in 1984. One of the background break dancers from beat street was in this episode. There's a poster of a musician with a saxophone on the wall. Can someone please tell me the name of that musician? For years I've been wondering about his name.
I actually remember talks like this with my dad. Good man to young man talks & he would use logic and reason as would I. However in the end he would end it with, I am good to see you are thinking but remember I am still bigger and I pay the bills so shut up and do it. Me being my smart mouth self would be like excuse me, but you and mom pay the bills and I would do it.
I lived on a farm my dad always said if we don't work we don't eat he wasn't being mean because when his grandkids came for visits he told them the same thing he meant if we don't take care of the food we grow for ourselves and the animals we won't have anything to eat
Why? You realize your irresponsible sexual activity or planning is what gets them here? So they should pay you for being born because you fucked for them? That’s by far the stupidest shit I ever heard in my entire life.
One of the reasons this was the greatest sitcom ever!
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhjjjhhhhhhhhhhh
"Dad, you're making a big mistake... I'm irresponsible!" True words, bro.
"Hey, nobody ever asked Denise to shovel the sidewalk." :-D
Lenny Pearl “So I’m off the hook?”
No
But the next snowstorm Denise is shoveling
Gender equality
TheSapphireDragon1 I know because then Denise would’ve made a deal about how it would be sexist. Hence the sarcasm in the gender equality comment.
I don’t give a s**T this man raised me and I Tip my hat to him!
Shutup white boy go back to being a hill billy
Me too!
XnTrik S/W Philly and women messed up his life
Joe Box shut that mess up.
XnTrik S/W Philly I agree with you! Bill Cosby is and always will be my like my second father. I don’t care what rumors and media says!
Epic!! I miss those days of Cosby telling these stories like only he could..
The Dad and Son Meeting Room! Always good for a laugh! Peace!
Yeah that’s where bill drugged him and got to work!! Good old pill Cosby!!
Drew Boswell wow
I love bill cosby. Even with everything happened I can't hate him!!
Great tv show. Hideous human being.

Excellent father/son talk. Humor, thought, growth and understanding consequences. Classic Dad hand me down stories!

One time Theo and a friend drove a car to Coney Island without having a license and got caught.. so no, Theo was no angel either
@@maragathm Because thats what Cosby did to his own son Ennis who was dyslexic. After he found out he felt so ashamed so he put it on the show
MrJP75 so??
There's alot of wonderfully philosophical little moments in these three-and-a-half-minutes

I disagree. Family shouldn't expect payment for watching family....that's like saying parents deserve payment for parenting.
