I run a Gear Vendors behind a TH400 but.. I don't use it specifically for MPG. Its used to keep rpms under control. When you have a 4.10-4.30 etc gear its a LIFE saver. Less rpm is less times the valve train cycles over the life of the event. Things are so less stressful mentally when you can actually keep up with highway traffic also. I am a 7 time participant 7 time finisher and 7 time podium..so..I dont feel Im talking out of my butt saying this.. food for thought on folks that cant run a highway gear like you do.

Definitely, turbo cars have an advantage with tight converter and tall gears, I should have added that caveat

@@MotionRaceworksOfficial Don't get me wrong.. we appreciate how you are trying to grow this sport👍. A lot of folks look UP to you guys and might interpret what you said as gospel for all and not relate it specifically to turbo car.
      Keep up the good work👍

Pro tip: Get or make adapters and replace the trailer wheels/tires with your car's spare wheels/tires. You can put a skinny under the trailer for a spare. This saves the weight of the extra wheels and tires to pull.

Smart less is more approach. I’m currently building (collecting the pieces) a 55 Chevy wagon to do these events with and have been wondering if I should get a trailer as I could just pack the car but you just made up my mind I will get a trailer because yes unpacking and packing constantly would suck.
I think you’ve steered me to a powerglide or th400 too.
I’m shooting for mid 10s with my car small block, efi, single turbo as simple as possible.

Just curious about how you transport your fuel? We got stopped on our way to the track one day with three 5 gallon VP racing containers of alcohol. The cop was pretty cool but told us we could only carry 5 gallons legally in that type of container. He stated they had to be in DOT approved containers with spring loaded nozzles and secured by some type of crate or basket ?Anyone else ever run into this?

Planning, lodging...what happens if parts are needed badly for overnight shipping. How do you go about that? Do you have vendors on standby prior to the actual race week, or what. Just curious. Has anyone ever tried to use a lock up convertor for drag week. Like not for the drag racing but so that in high gear you can lock it on the road and the convertor is what makes a lot of heat in a transmission on these events. If you lock it up it may stay way cooler and pull a trailer better.

Another thing would be choose a class that you can run without pushing your car to the extreme limits. If you're running your car on the edge of parts failure point every pass you will most likely break it before the end of the week.

In 1320 Video's clip of your last run of the week, it looked like your front tires were lifting off the pavement when you were at speed. I know you commented that the track was a little bumpy on the top end. Wouldn't there be danger of a blowover when you became that light on the front at that speed? Also, CONGRATULATIONS on your class win and for being the second quickest car in the field. Also, you probably saw Tom McGilton's nice comments about you when you came over to congratulate him on his first place finish in the unlimited class. How could someone involved in drag 'n' drive racing not know who you are? I'm sure he knows about Motion Raceworks even though he wasn't aware of one of the co-owners.

The teardrop is wicked aerodynamic, ultra light weight and is cavernous inside. We can also paint or wrap to match your racecar
