2019 - 2022 Chevy Silverado - How to Unlock & Start With Dead Chevrolet Remote Key Fob Battery

A video tutorial on how to unlock, open and start a 2019 - 2022 Chevy Silverado that has a dead key battery or a remote key fob that isn't working. There is an emergency key located in the bottom of your Chevrolet Silverado remote key fob. You will remove the key from the remote key fob and use it in key cylinder located on the Chevy Silverado driver's door. Then you will need to start your Chevrolet Silverado by placing the remote key fob in the transmitter pocket in the center console.
This tutorial will show you how to open, unlock and start a vehicle with a dead key battery or remote key fob that isn't working on the following Chevrolet models:

Thank for the details. It worked for me. I would add to be sure that the fob circuit board is in position against the stops before trying to reassemble the key fob.

What if the button on the door handle does not work to unlock but does to lock ?

So question I just lost my key and want to know before heading down to chevy(which is far for me) do you buy chance know if I use my My Chevrolet app to start my truck if it will let me drive the vehicle so I don't have to tow it?

No - not if the vehicle was locked with the remote. The other option would be to change the battery in the remote and then just unlock it
