Bossio man, you may not believe it. I commented on your clipper over comb fade to bulk tutorial almost 3 years ago now and you had replied to me + posted the screenshot on IG. Boy did that make the 19 year old me geek out like crazy! I had just started learning to cut hair and your channel was on play 24/7. So to get a response AND an IG s/o, that lit a fire in me. 3 years later, this industry has allowed me to relieve school expenses (college student 🙋🏽♂️) and be able to live a little above the average college student lifestyle. Not only that, but I’m also finding myself in an apprenticeship program to get my license while being a full time college student. I love this industry and in 2021 I hope to be able to combine my college degree and my love for the industry. I want to be a game changer just like many barbers are out there and 2021 is the year I been working up to. I’m on the come up man ☝🏼 thanks to you and this channel for educating me not just about the barber industry, but also on financial literacy and an overall positive view towards life. Definitely agree with the hair on the bottom for contrast !! Tried it for the first time on my client(friend) and it actually felt easier to distinguish the blend and darkness around the fade

This year has shown me everything there is to know about the barbering industry, from just leaving barbering school to being in my first official shop, the stress you go through at the beginning trying to build clientele, to the point where I didn’t know if barbering was really something I should seek after, but thanks to god, I can now say I can see a future being a barber and growing in this industry, it is honestly something thats beautiful and how much a barber can change someone’s life not only with a haircut but as a person someone can talk to. Since March of 2020, I’ve tried cutting hair from home, cutting my nephews and brothers. But because of Covid, I wasn’t able to start barber school this year, but I would research and look at tutorials and other resources to better my craft. I just enrolled in school today and start January 2021! I’m super excited and hopeful for this life changing opportunity!

2020 wasnt the best year for many of us. I was incarcerated for the beginning of this year, and while I was in jail, I learned how to cut hair. It was something I fell in love with. I thought to myself many nights what was I doing in jail? Why was I messing up my life? I have 2 children i need to take care of and a family who loves me. Cutting hair in jail helped me SO much with my time, and now that I am free it is something I want to make a career out of. I have always dreamed of being a barber, but didn't think I had the skill for it EVER IN LIFE. And I learned the hard way clipper over comb because in jail that is all we had. A comb and pair of wahl trimmers. I know that this is my passion I enjoy it so much, I dont have nice clippers but my grandma got me some for xmas and told me to start going after my dream. I recently purchased the Silver FX and I left them factory set, while my Gold FX trimmers are zero gapped.. I figured I like the Babyliss trimmers and Clippers so much I had to double 🆙. That Christmas deal with ATLANTA with the silver FX was almost a steal with the shaver.
With all going on in 2020 it still ended as a good year. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 14 years. But this year I decided to take it to the next level and got my barbers license.💪 Ready for 2021. Let's do this🤑🤑

Prayers for everyone to have gains in all aspects in life for 2021
Sure I've seen this dude getting a cut before , anyway Chris I like your system it defo works for you , what probably confuses some guys is that some barbers like to fade from the bottom up others like yourself works from the top working back through the sizes , I think I'm more of a down the numbers sort of a guy once I've put in my bald guide and worked through the half to the one, I'll go straight to the 2 and work back down which helps to see where the fade is at. Alot of guys say medium, High, or low fade and they all end up the same for every cut. That also confuses big time.
So many new vids could show these differences. I'd like to see you trying other systems, I know your system works for you but it would be interesting to see how you manage with other fading systems.
I’ve been practicing w my brothers at home, and hopefully I can go to school this year and better myself in cutting hair!
