Having it alone in the middle of a cold hard floor has to be the most terrifying and uncomfortable experience for the poor baby. At least put a towel or blanket down for it to lay on and a stuffed animal or pillow for it to cling to if you're not willing to let it cling to you. Its sucking its thumb which is a sign of anxiety.

I'm sure the most terrifying experience was when its mother was killed while it clung to her then most likely falling out of a tall tree only to be ripped off of your again dead mother and thrown into a bag by mean terrible people then living horribly in a tiny cage with too many tramatized now orphans to fit comfortably for days with barley any food and little water , then get taken away again for a life being subjected to this daily torture :/
I'm sure each day is just as bad if not worse than the last :/

I’d only wash their bum with water then use wet cloth for the rest. Maybe even dry shampoo. If my pet reacted like this to water I’d avoid it until they got older. I see the older ones diving and swimming on their own and behave this way in the wild as pups.
It wouldn't kill them to talk soothing to the little guy to help calm him but they probably hate having to take care if it in the first place!
