Brings a tear to my eye
Congratulations for getting your first win of the AFL season North Melbourne
Probley only 1 they will win but I hope they win some more
@@ethan8167 I agree
Great message real insightful, original and unique!
Stfu next time if you're going to post like a bot
What a game by Jy Simpkin!
Captain's game!
THEY DID IT
Another great game on Saturday 😱
Bro this game ruined my tips😂
Same
Good on ya roos
What a bludger of a game that was!!
so true umpires
@@WestCoastJoegamingnot surprising from a west coast eagles fan
Good job north Melbourne
Its cool to see the roos finally claim a win! Hopefully they can continue to improve in the future!
Up the Roos 🎉
waiting for the "we didn't have reid" as if its less embarrassing
Congrats on getting the one and only win for the season north
Stop the 🧢
2-15 though....damn
Les go NM
Disgraceful decision that cannot be justified on any level.
KANGA KANGA KANGA
ROO ROO ROO
Carn the roos.
Good thing West Coast didn't kick straight. Bad kicking is bad football.
BRO I WAS AT THE GAME THE UMPIRING WAS HORRIBLE
Blame the accuracy mate
Cry about it
You mean accuracy
Wardlaw taken high fair play flag Roos
I was there too umpires shocking
Most disgusting umpiring performance in history, how much the AFL paying these incompetent fools. That decision against Yeo must be the most ridiculous decision ever. One week you can be spun around in a 360 degree circle and the next it’s a blink of an eye. The AFL board need removing.
Couldn't agree more mate.
I'm a North supporter who acknowledges that the Q4 free against Yeo was ridiculous.
Holding the ball is a total lottery these days and Elliott copped snake eyes last night.
cry about it
If it wasn't holding the ball (Which it was), it was high. Either way free kick norf. Ball don't lie
@@rileybowles590Are you are North fan or Freo
@@pandamanbam8535 Tell me How Yeo has had prior
Lifelong North fan here. Rapt for the win, obviously, but that Q4 free kick against Yeo was just ridiculous.
North fan here as well. It was a shocker, but it wasn't the deciding factor. WC got a freebie 50m penalty goal that was nothing as well. North deserved the win.
West coast also had 2 minutes to kick away, they gave up a goal in 30 seconds and sold the game to north
@@PickleGreenGuyhey if you don’t take your chances you dont get the goal
@@Localexlikesst3 yup, one thing west coast didn’t do was take their chances, 17 behinds is ridiculous
@@PickleGreenGuy yup shows how off target they were
Tigers win on Thursday night and become 2 wins ahead of North Melbourne....then North Melbourne win on Saturday.
It's so obvious what North Melbourne are trying to do, they want that 18th finish so they can get rewarded with the number 1 draft pick.
Can't wait til 10 year olds are banned from social media.
@@billbaggins1688What has that got to do with anything?
No they don't, that is just the level of talent the team has at the moment. Hardly any Key position players and a bunch of really young kids with no veterans makes for an inexperienced and underperforming side.
@@popsmacca3831 North Melbourne have shown that they can be competitive when they want to be, they're nowhere near as bad as everyone seems to think.
Most games they'll only play the first quarter (or half) and they'll let the rest of the game go, it's the same pattern over and over again. They also competed well against an in-form GWS up in Sydney in Round 1 and although lost, they put in a decent performance.
All of a sudden they decide to go for a win against West Coast over in Perth (which is not necessarily an easy feat). While it wasn't North's best performance (nor was it West Coast's), they had clear intentions to win that game, right after Richmond won and got 2 games ahead.
If North were going 100%, I believe that they would finish at least 15th (maybe higher), but they want the draft picks before Tasmania starts getting them.
To me it is so obvious that they're trying to do what Melbourne did in the early 2010s (which most people at the time seemed to deny was even happening).
North are TANKING, it's just so obvious when you really analyse them.
Bad take my guy
robbed infront of my eyes
w's
There is so much I want to say about this game. With 18 minutes and 29 seconds remaining of the game, North Melbourne led by 33 points against a diabolically inaccurate West Coast, but the Eagles needed to dig deep from that point onwards, and they did. They even took the lead, but they blew it. Two goals and FIFTEEN BEHINDS early in the final quarter was very ugly to see and they only fixed their kicking in the final quarter. They should've crushed North Melbourne. That moment when Yeo was penalised for holding the ball? Good call. He dragged the ball back in. I don't want to hear anything about the Eagles getting "robbed" since the AFL gave the green light for that free kick.
Well done to North Melbourne for getting their first win of the season and their first since the final round of the 2023 season. But they choked and somehow still won. West Coast, being the first team to lose to North Melbourne, you need to fix your kicking. You know who would've helped you win? Tim Kelly (injured) and Harley Reid (suspended). Conglaturations. This is also the third consecutive matchup between these two teams to finish in a final margin of LESS THAN TEN POINTS! Is this an unwanted rivalry? F*** you, Spanos.
And Nick Larkey got five goals.
Elliot yeo, 'no prior opportunity' terrible call.
2022 game: decided by 15 points
2021: decided by 10
2020: decided by 15
these teams genuinely play in close matches
Aww man I was hoping I could see north melbourne with a 0/23 season
Eagles were bad and kicked themselves out of the game. Didn't deserve to win. But that holding the ball on Yeo. What a mess umpiring is atm.
No Reid = No Eagles how embarrassing
Harley Reid is suspended
So North win after Richmond win and get 2 games ahead.......and no one is picking up on what North Melbourne are trying to do?
Nobody picked up on West Coast tanking last year if that is what you are referring to?
West Coast won a Grand Final in 2018. Bottom out only 5 years later while the club they played off against wins the GF!?
@@belongda6032 They must've been upset with missing out on Harley Reid because this year they are definitely tanking. They know Tasmania is coming in soon so they'll need to take what they can get now
@@MH-rq8ps Yeah they have been tanking for 4 years now. On there 4th coach and zero No 1 draft picks. Makes sense😂
Like West Coast with premiership players getting the wooden spoon last year🤣
@@belongda6032 I don't know about previous years but they're definitely tanking this year. It's so obvious what they're trying to do. Their goal is an 18th place finish.
@@MH-rq8ps Yeah I would totally agree if I was a complete moron, like yourself😂
LOL WET TOAST EPIC FAIL
go freo
Couldn't see Harley Reid anywhere 🤣🤣🤣 oh that's right he was under pressure last week getting tagged then took his frustration out 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bad news for you brother, this version of Harley Reid is literally the worst version you’ll ever watch.
@@masonbarker7121 rest of the AFL always figure players out, you will see reid being cleaned up more and more as time goes
@@h.r.hufnstuf4171 Almost all players with ample opportunity get significantly better the longer they are in the AFL. Of course they’re going to figure things out. But there’s a reason you have players like Scott Pendlebury, 18 seasons in and he’s still one of the more effective midfielders.
Don’t let your bias against one player cloud your judgement. As the league adapts to Harley, Harley will adapt, just like any great player.
@@masonbarker7121 could always snap a leg too..
@@h.r.hufnstuf4171 I wouldn’t quite consider that “ample opportunity” if he snaps his leg.
I also wouldn’t wish that on any player. Ethically it feels wrong to me. Injuries aside, he will adapt to the AFL, the same way other AFL players adapt. Which is nuts considering he’s walked in and become the eagles 2nd best player straight out of the draft.
North Melbourne the biggest joke 😂🤣
🥱
Enjoy social media while you can before they ban 10 year olds cobber.
I am a North supporter since 1976, since i was at Primary school, relieved and happy about the win north had, let's hope they beat Collingwood next week
I’m a north fan as well but highly unlikely we’ll win but you never know beating west coast at Optus was unexpected
Alot of people in society no matter what team they follow believe the AFL games are rigged or fixed, so much corruption in the world
