Lady Oscar - The Rose of Versailles

The Rose of Versailles focuses on Oscar François de Jarjayes, a girl raised as a man to become her father's successor as leader of the Palace Guards. There was nothing relaxing about The Rose of Versailles.
It was INTENSE from start to finish. And not necessarily the action. The politics and the intrigues kept the viewer on guard during the whole series.
