The cover is adorable. That lacing card really makes it. I have a great fondness for the 4th of July also. My dad was in the Air Force and we moved around a lot, but often we were able to have a vacation in California with my parents’ families, and it was usually over that holiday. We had fun with food, family, and fireworks!
Adorable!! Just a thought, what about adding red ric rak down the left side where all that white border is, especially since you added fabric trim to the right side, it might give it a balanced look. Sorry it's my sewing eye thing, lol. I think I see a Patriotic journal in my future. I never make things for me, but maybe this one. Hugs * L
Thanks, Leslie. I took a look at the cover and I agree with you that the left side needs something! I don't have red rick rack (except baby rick rack), but I did add something! I hope you will create a patriotic journal!
Hi Diane. I was not aware it was illegal to use Tyvek envelopes as a craft supply or was confused as to when it is illegal and when it is not--oh well. Love the little sailor boy sewing card. These are going to be amazing. Hugs.
Perhaps the way I worded it was confusing. It's illegal to just take the envelopes from the USPS to use as a craft supply. It's federal government property. You can't just take a pile of them and cut them up. But if you receive mail in one, it's already already been used for its intended purpose, so go for it!
So cute. These are going to be fun patriotic journals! 🇺🇸 ⭐️
I just love the sewing cards! So adorable!! Thanks so much for sharing!
