  • Welcome to this episode of the For Souls Sake where I am beyond thrilled to be joined by my mentor, guide, and dear friend, HH Svayam Bhagavan Keshav Swami. Keshava Swami has spent over 20 years as a resident monk at ISKCON UK's Headquarters, Bhaktivedanta Manor, and authored ten books on Vedic theology, lifestyle management, and spiritual self-development. Keshava Swami completed a BSc in Information Management at University College London. After graduation, he adopted full-time monastic life in 2002 and has since travelled the world sharing his teachings with universities, corporate firms, government organizations, and spiritual communities
In our conversation, he emphasizes the importance of selflessness and service, encouraging us to shift our focus from our own desires to helping others. he also discusses the concept of the soul and how it relates to the physical and mental selves. We focus on the difficulty of accessing the soul in this day and age, due to the overwhelming chaos of the world. Keshava Swami uses teaching from the Bhagavad Gita and talks about the three modes of nature: goodness, passion and ignorance. Keshava Swami suggests that to truly access the soul, one must create a lifestyle which consists of disconnecting from the chaos of the world and cultivating a space that allows one to connect with the spiritual self.
I am grateful for the opportunity to share this conversation with you all and to have Keshava Swami on For Souls Sake. So, join me in this enlightening conversation with and discover the transformative power of selflessness and spiritual connection.

    Hare Krishna Radhika Prabhu,
I convey my deep sincere gratitude's for bringing Maharaj in the show.. I downloaded it the day it was released, but I listened now while traveling for an event..
Never expected goosebumps moments without a DJ, ROCKY SONGS before. Just by listening Maharaj's words brought goosebumps Prabhu.. Unbelievable!!!
He mentioning about PROTECTING ON OTHERS point, I'm 23 now and as I learn the philosophy and tradition, I'm doing the same now. It made me introspect so much, this thought will be there in back of my mind for sure Prabhu.
Every question and interaction was leaving me introspective for minutes together...
Superb name, FOR SOULS SAKE!! You ask nice questions, I wanted to know more about Maharaj and through your questions, it became a possibility..
    Once again thank you Prabhu.

The questions were ones that were running through me every now and then and the answers just speaks to my soul so I experience connection to a different level and before I realized I was closing my eyes many times. Thank you to both of you!!!

Loving this episode. Personal viewpoint on one of the many points made: I think there is value to taking responsibility and accepting accolades in the sense that, logically, it pushes us to try our hardest. Of course I want to keep the principle that I am not the one with the ultimate power as my anchor, but, I know for me personally, taking some level of superficial responsibility is important. otherwise I worry I won’t be able to even come close to fulfilling my dharma. It also means, by corollary, we take responsibility for negligence or bad behavior. Also, humility is actually subtle. I tend to think people who boast and accept accolades are sometimes the humblest bc they are not even trying to portray themselves as humble. They don’t care how they are viewed either way. When we do good work, we should recognize it so that we can aspire to more good work and not be aimless. The tests get harder. Without true confidence, it won’t be possible to further approach the peak. Would love to hear thoughts on this.
