You really picked the right day to visit the Aquarium! We were there Mother's Day weekend and it was too packed to really film much. Love that you featured the Lab. Many people do overlook it! And, yes, John fictionalized Ed and turned him into "Doc" for the book. Apparently Ed wasn't complimented since everyone thought the fictionalized version was the real Ed. LOL! We do live in such a gorgeous spot, right?! Glad you guys ended up with a Blue Day!

Oh how funny, I didn’t realize that about Ed. I always have enjoy the random side exhibits. I love the cannery area of course the lab.

One of my favorite finds was in Kingman Arizona. We went to a Route 66 museum and they had Chapter 12 of The Grapes of Wrath posted on the wall. Was really fun to see. His description of Route 66, “The Mother road,” is spot on.

@@everymileusa We are planning Route 66 in 2027 as a part of our 10 month travel route! We've been on parts of it but never have taken the whole trip from Chicago to LA.
