Honest criticism from a lifelong fan of The Cure: The music was amazing from the beginning, the sound was very compelling, and was different enough to remind me of the classic, but knew I was listening to a new updated version. When the vocal came in I was very disappointed. Not because it didn't sound like Robert Smith, but because it was weak. It sounded out off place with the music. It sounded not too quiet, but not mastered correctly. I can understand some of the previous negative comments although not at all helpful. This is a very promising cover. The vocal needs work; a total new approach or remaster, IMHO. The video was really good as well.

I love the arrangement, it’s wonderful. A way to rework a quiet despairing song into something that now builds and climaxes while still being full of atmosphere. Also fantastic use of imagery in the video.

IMHO this being ‘ rocked-up’ works well . And ( all you cool indie people ) works as well as when Phil Collins’ son gave “ keep it dark “ the same treatment. I wonder if this is actually Robyn Hitchcock whom did a nifty cover of “ The Ghost in You “.....❤️from wessexshire

Love the musical arrangements, just the vocals kind of stuff it up, too auto tuned , ❤

in the end they succeeded, my favorite Cure song, the atmosphere it created, ruined by an unacceptable attempt to make a cover, a crap, that many like. You probably didn't have goose bumps when they played it, and you can't change the feelings it gives you, many songs can be "covered", absolutely this song doesn't, make it disappear for goodness' sake

the video is one of the initial scenes of "Inferno", the Dario Argento the fantasy is also missing

Ugh, hate it. it was cool until the singing started. I hate all this millennial whining. The original still is the best, but it's a song begging to be remade by someone who understood the existentialism and goth qualities of The Cures version.
