Im kinda suprised how many times i heard that they liked germany while watching reactions. And that most people where shocked when germany got 0 points even though alot of people said that this is going to happen. Maybe because people thought that there couldn't be another 0 points
No we don't hate the UK, we love them too. But James sang out of tune and was out of breath. BBC must rechange who is representing the UK coming up with more original and vocaly better singers. Another thing is maybe the big 5 are always in the final because they pay for it. I think it is a ridiculous rule. Atletes don't pay for 100 metres ahead on the running track either. The downside is people will hear the songs of the big 5 just one time and short in de semi final as a clip. Okay you guys say and France, yeah thats just the first time they did that after many years. And Italy maybe the beautiful melodic language ? My opinion only the country that won last year in the final, that save money too so they can't win twice in a row lol. Who has a better opinion about the big 5 and the winning country from last year ? I heared Graham Norton of the BBC say : very low low low points in the beginning but Hey this is The Netherlands which means Low countries because of the landscape. If you drive from Rotterdam to Maastricht in the south of the country you go from - 5 metres up to + 320 metres , just like the points :-) Great reaction guys Thanks ! By the way I loved the Dutch audience they cheered for every country and waved their flags !! I am proud to be Dutch. it were three fantastic shows and really top television. Eurovision Song Contest never dies !!!

I don't like either, but the Big 5 aren't there because they pay more, but because they represent the most of the population. The Big 5 rule was requested by sponsors in order to have an high audience for the show.
The big 5 are the biggest contributors as well. But that allows smaller/less wealthy countries to be able to participate and pay a bit less, same goes for hosting. And yes, if those countries don't go into the final the audience from those countries might not tune in in the same quantity and that's something the sponsors need as well. It's not as simple as it seems. Italy is from the Big 5 and they often place in the top 3 even, or at least in the top 10. People who don't care much will only watch the final and see all the acts for the first time. Fans who watch every show will know the song from Big 5 either way.

The reason they don't do the semi anymore is because sponsors complained in the past for lost of revenew due to the public from the biggest countries missing when they're not in the final
