How To: Crochet Braids Over Locs

Today I have a special guest - My mama. She wanted something different since she has loc'd hair, so I'm giving her crochet braids.
Disclaimer: If you try this style, I would not recommend leaving loc'd hair braided for over a month. The hair will begin to intertwine, and it will be difficult to take down.

Wow. Very impressive. If I saw this video a year ago... I wouldn't have cut off all my locs. So glad I came across your video. Reattaching them during this quarantine and whenever I want a different look, I could crochet braid it. I love all the things we can do with our crown.

Thanks for posting, I am hoping to do the same over my dreads until I can grow the roots out and remove them. This is perfect, fingers crossed my hairdresser can do this.

Thank you for this video. I'm 7 mos into my loc journey but I was want something different. Is the take down the same as if I didn't have locs?
Thanks for watching! - The take-down is the same, you're only cutting the knots so the hair can come out easily. Make sure you get someone to assist (if needed) so you don't cut your hair!

What about if you have shorter Locs?
That's even better, because then there will be less bulk underneath. As long as the locs can be braided for a secure foundation, there should be no problem.
What state is your salon located in?
I don't have a salon yet, but I'm located in GA.
