Back then when Wild first came out, i didn't like this version at first, because it was literally the same as the first one. But with added verse changes. But now listening to this again, i picked up differences which i wonder how i never seemed to pick up.
The first version of the song was my favorite, because it sounds so calm, peaceful and almost ethereal like. A song that makes you reflect to yourself, in a world within your own mind. That you are trying to figure out why you love someone. We can assume, that maybe it's also hinting at unconditional love. It's the 'echoing' feeling to this song, which sells it for me.
This version here, is definitely more upbeat. It loses almost all of it's echoing nature. And of course with Alessia Cara in the picture, the song is almost given a newer meaning behind it. That two close friends, grow even closer. Discovering that they share feelings together that are more than just friends. It is more to a "I think i realize, love you. I'll do anything for you. Go Anywhere with you, and we'll take on the world together".
