Hello Kirtonians! I’m from Crediton, grew up there in the sixties and attended Haywards School and Shelley Secondary School, now QES. I returned to see the old place in 1985 but have not returned since. Now I’m living in Brisbane, Australia. Nice to see videos like this with lots of memories. The old place hasn’t changed much, physically. I s’pose the people have changed. My old friends would be getting on a bit, now. As old as me! I’m 68, if anyone’s interested; 69 in October. Oh well, I’ll be back sometime soon. Got to see it again. Maybe come back to live?

Such a lovely town. My family is from there (3 generations back) but this is the first I've really seen of the town. I'm in Canada and I'd really love to visit and find out more about my family in Crediton. No doubt I have many cousins in this neck of the woods. Perhaps I can contact any Jeffery family relatives on here. This is such a great video! Thanks for sharing!

Hello there, everything you looking is here. We're so blessed living here and nothing to ask more. 🙏
Crediton is a very quite town for people who wants easy access to city (Exeter is 15 min drive) and live a countryside life. The people of Crediton and surrounding hamlets are friendly and the two primary schools Landscore and Haywards are quite good. The secondary school was good but recently it was not as good as before. The parks, golf club , tennis court, cricket club, swimming pool , pubs, restaurants wont disappoint anyone. All these are above average and some are even best in Devon. Everyone loves nature and environment and people in general expect this from someone who is new to town. If you talk about gardening or walking or environment then , you will make plenty of friends here. There is a posh bike shop and church that attracts tourists around the world to crediton. More than 15 amazing walks are around Crediton. Dartmoor is 20 min away by driving. Saturday veggie Market and annual food festival are also popular.
