- Within this video I discuss BRAND NEW News regarding Sonic X Shadow generations that involves the Japanese website potentially being the first to report a brand new playable character in shadow generation there is a bunch of possibilities of who this playable character could be could it be a returning sonic character or someone new entirely let me know who you think it will be in the comments below!

I thought about it, Silver wouldn't make tooo much sense if talking about the year of shadow, they'd probably mention that villain in the shadow the hedgehog game, but if talking about the actual generations Silver makes sense, at the beginning Shadow and Silver were the only ones who weren't in that birthday reunion, and this X Shadow part of the game occurs the same time as the generations timeline, so a bit of Silvers timeline would make sense as well!
Might possibly help us Segway into a year of silver hopefully if he’s the 4th playable character 🙏
If it takes place during Sonic’s story, then Rouge is already occupied there. That means Omega is the only team dark member available
That's a weak argument since Shadow himself cross path with Sonic at the end of Generations it is literaly a game about crossing time and space... any character can appear whenever wherever.

Either silver, or to keep up the theme with shadow, they could introduce eclipse into the series.
It's not going to be one of the hedgehogs, the trailer specifically mentioned THREE hedgehogs, that being Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic and Shadow (therefore no chance of Silver, unless Modern and Classic are counted as one)

To be fair the 4th playable character wasn’t revealed so if it is Silver it’s kinda obvious why they wouldn’t include “4 hedgehogs” in the reveal trailer when this 4th character hasn’t even been revealed

I haven’t heard anyone say movie shadow yet but if I had it place my bets that would be it. It says “coming soon” which means it could release at a similar time to promote the movie. I just don’t know why they’re putting a timer on when this secret 4th character is announced unless it has to line up with an additional release

I don't think it'll be another playable character and especially not Dreamcast Shadow. This is because Space Colony Ark Act 1 is a boost level and people datamined the Summer Games Fest trailer and discovered that Rail Canyon Act 2 was shown an that also had boost gameplay, so I personally think the coming soon thing is just for Mephiles to be revealed as a villain.
0:58 that was a translation error you can see Iizuka get mad when the translator said that. And I hope it’s silver because he’s the only other character that isn’t explained how he got caught into white world. If it was a team dark member it would be omega since rouge was in sonics sonic generations. I hope mephiles is a boss fight not a playable character because mephiles is a villain I don’t want him to turn good that wouldn’t make sense and Eggman aswell why would he help him. Infinite can’t be in it since sonic forces is after generations and shadow gens takes place at the same time as the original game. A Dreamcast shadow would be a great way to bring back the shadow who is motivated by Maria still. But I don’t think that’s likely imo. Anyway there’s no point in speculating ITS NO USE. I really hope it’s silver it better be silver
I watched it and I in fact didn’t see him fuming with smoke out of his ears due to either it being blocked because they were showing gameplay in the video I watched

I think the 4th mysterious playable character could possibly be E123 omega because he wasn't in the original sonic generations.

In regards to Mephalis they could write him into the story in a really interesting way... The events of Sonic '06 "Ceased to exist" for the main cast and their Timeline, but who's to say that the events of Sonic '06 doesn't still exist/happen in a parallel universe? Mephalis could show up looking to take his revenge on Shadow only to be met with "Who the hell are you? I've never met you before" and then Mephalis could see the danger/threat to not only his universe but all universes brought about by Black Doom, The Time Eater and/or whatever else is causing crap here with him deciding to put that aside to "Assist" Shadow in bringing them down, perhaps his help also plays into his overall plan to get his revenge on Shadow... Who knows 🤔
Realistically, we'll get him as a returning Boss like the others throughout Sonic Generations which is also awesome 👍

3:58 frontiers had knuckles amy and tails all playable in the same style as sonic just with different attributes. 7:48 izuka already confirmed this takes place during the event of generations before forces.
You don't really have to make much new for Rouge - because the open world is based on Frontiers, and her mirror-match (Knuckles) was playable in Frontiers.
One thing i do wish is that they bring david and ryan Drummond to voice sonic snd shadow.since the Sa1 skin is in it, they could get ryan to voice him, even if its just the game only areas. Samw thing with davis but with the terios skin, making him somewhat of a new/his own character.

Because if he has no interest in coming back to voice Sonic, that's pretty saddening for me.

I think Metal is the most likely candidate but it would be awesome if they used this opportunity to introduce Eclipse from the Archie comics as a main timeline character

Sonic 06 IS cannon it’s just that it wipes itself out and the fact the in japan in team sonic racing he remembers 06 so many have theorized that Sonic only remembers it so that explains why kingdom valley exists
Really excited to see who is gonna be playable but it might just be emerl or whatever her/his name was
sonic generations shows the past but also the future, if you are Modern Sonic you are seeing the past and if you are classic sonic you are seeing the future, so probably a shadow from the future that got the fully absorved into the black arms powers maybe able to become a monster like Black Doom becomes Devil Doom

I can’t fathom Mephiles being a playable character instead of a boss. I don’t see any of the robotniks being playable since Eggman is technically a boss since he controlled the time eater, and it said PLAYABLE characters. How would you PLAY as regular people? I don’t think infinite is a possible character since the whole game is about the past, and Infinite wasn’t around during that time. My money is one adventure Shadow, Metal Sonic or Silver. I hope it’s not adventure Shadow tho, since that would probably just be a riskinned Shadow, but without a boost.

Mephiles was playable in that Sonic mobile game years ago and he is playable in forces speed battle
Those are basically skins for sonic, since the gameplay is the same for every character

If I have to be honest if it’s true that there will be a 4th playable character I would like it to be either
1. Mephiles
2. Silver
3. Infinite
4. Sage
5. Eclipse

Since you mentioned her, why not Trip? She wasn't present in Sonic Generation so maybe they can explain she was working with Shadow somehow. Sometime ago Tails Tube confirmed that Sonic and friends remember what happened in Superstars.

When have they ever said Sonic 06 isn't canon....? Just because it's bad doesn't mean it ain't canon unless we use the comics which is different from game canon than Silver shouldn't exist in the main series at all
it's because the timeline was reset at the end of 06, it's canon but it never happened

@@kami9143 Silver is in a weird limbo where he doesn't have a game where he gets reintroduced into the cast properly anymore, Sonic Rivals (I don't remember if it was 1 or 2) kind of did that, but that game has only ever gotten acknowledged just to be de-canonized. He just kind of is part of the series with his first canon run-in with Sonic and the others happening off-screen.
@@mecor9191Yea after the 06 time reset. It was where they reintroduced silver in Rivals 1, and is officially acknowledged/canon to the other characters. Rivals 2, he was introduced to more of the cast (The Chaotix)
