  • Using a MaxXAir vent cover can prolong the life of your factory vent cover and
allow you to keep your vent open as you drive down the road.
With your RV being in the hot sun all day, you may want to cool down your rig by
creating air flow in your camper. Or you just might need or want air circulation when it is raining while keeping the rain outside.
I would say these covers work really well. How long they will actually last remains to be seen.
Our first cover only lasted one season which is not good, something external could have broken the first cover and if that did happen then it protected our factory cover like i would expect.
The functionality the cover brings to me is worth trying the cover a 2nd time.

The last time I replaced the vent, I decided to replace the whole roof vent assembly to the Fantastic Fan system, so a fan and cover all in one. A bit more work, but worth it. 🍸🍸

I want to do this to my bathroom fan. Factory fan is noisy and doesn't move much air.

The whole roof vent fan system would be a really good upgrade. The projects that tend to last the longest are the ones hardest to do.
Thanks for sharing your upgrade Phil !

Did you know you can extend the life of your factory vent cover by using one of these ?

I started using vent covers because the factory vent covers are not UV stable and turn to dust. The vent covers that I get locally to replace the factory style, last 2 years tops without the use of the extra vent covers. These extra vent covers do degrade over time and are prone to breaking as you have seen. They are far more UV stable since they are thicker plastic, but still don't last forever.
Reminds me I need to check mine. Think I saw some cracks forming where yours broke last time I was on the roof.
