- Here’s a quick demo for those who have wondered about this combination. The breakthrough DFM is my go-to match for the Nisi Athena primes. It will clear all of them and works perfectly. It is the only twist on adapter with a drop in VMD which will clear these lenses.
Its always great when you search something so damn specific and you find the answer, thank you for this.
Thank you so much for this Nick!
Wow! Thats a win for sure!
I tested the 35mm on my KX with the breakthrough filter and it was fine.
Doing the lord's work Nick!
Haha, I try. Another CZcamsr BLOCKED ME because I said this combination worked, when he didn't believe it. So I figured I'd just post the video and let people find the information if they needed it. #theTruthisOutThere
LOL!
@@nick_salazar OMG! Blocked you? Why do peeps have to adopt a position on this, rather than go with actual proof one way or the other? So much voodoo in this industry - makes us noobs quite confused 🙂
It’s possible he has an older version of the adapter and that’s why it doesn’t fit for him. I tried commenting that… And that’s when I discovered I was blocked from his channel.
(And yes, I tried a couple more times to be sure it wasn’t just my connection or something like that).
Do you know if they clear the Mofage Poco?
EDIT: sorry, no they will NOT clear the Mofage poco.
Sorry, they will NOT clear the Mofage. The Breakthrough DFM and the Kippertie Strata ND are the only VND adapters which will clear the Athena lenses.
@@nick_salazar damn…thank you for the info. Unfortunately that’s a deal breaker for me
@@Artfulscience1 yeah, something to be mindful of. The DZOFilm Vespid should clear your Mofage adapter though. So will the Meike FF primes, the Rokinon Xeen CF, and the Dulens APO primes. None of those perform quite as well as the Athenas. For me, I decided the more expensive Breakthrough adapter was worth its higher price, it makes working with these lenses a breeze.

Agreed. People might mistakenly buy the older model.
