I have an old tank and want to get a beta fish and create a low maintenance, pretty tank. I started binging videos and found yours....you are so WHOLESOME 🙂 I love haw much enthusiasm you have. Thanks for all the tips, slowly working my way through your catalogue 🐠 🌿
Your excitement and enthusiasm really comes through more when you do these type of tanks. Love it!

Loving the daily uploads keep it up 👍💙
love no filter nanos, used to have my own and the plants grew so well (and the shrimp bred very well!) 🌱
Loving the daily uploads mate! Keep it up
I love all your videos 😍 but I love this nano tank build the most.
The larger piece of wood would make a great base for a bonsai tree style feature.
....coming soon
loving the daily videos!
So beautiful setup.u always give surprise with your work. So amazing tank
the aquariums look incredible♥️You can do a video every day of just you feeding your aquariums. I love The hardscape you picked!! I'm looking forward to setting up no filter aquarium!! Thanks for another great tutorial!! Have a great day!!!❤️🙏✌️😁

Today’s Thursday so does that mean the clean up crew’s arriving today for the angelfish jungle?! :D
Problem with the shipment im afraid!
@@MDFishTanks 😱 sad. Yet, somehow predictable given the circumstances. Still, sad.

Love no filter tanks!!!
JoePlays06 Do you have one?
Your on a uploading roll today MD!
I like the idea of a newt tank. Friends here in Ireland bought a house that had had a swimming pool - outdoor - built by the previous owners. Given our weather it was unused for most of the year and they discovered when they came to clean it out - were thinking of filling it in - that it had newts living in it. So they added lots of floating plants then slowly added pond plants and it have been breeding newts ever since. So successfully that the husband recently dug a new pond in one of the fields just for newts and other wildlife to use, especially as the swimming pool has been taken over by ducks which have decided to make their new home in his garden. It means that the newts now have a choice of two different homes, one without ducks, and his garden is fast becoming newt paradise.
Wow how nice
Nice healthy growing plants
I’ve been eyeing up alpine newt eggs on eBay, might be interesting to grow from eggs and see them change and become adults. Hoping in the future to build a large plywood paludarium to house colder water fish and amphibians. Love your channel, thanks for all the great videos!
love the nano
great video manh I subed
I will haft to try this myself
love the new nano tank
thank you (just catching up on member comments lol)
The first way you put the three rocks reminds me of Sydney Australia from finding Nemo. Awwwww lol❤️
i'm a huge Walstad fan. I have a 20 gal no filter Walstad and a 3 gal Walstad that's going strong 0 nitrates for 3 years. Can't wait to see this one grown in.
Diane Miles Hi, did you cover the soil with sand or gravel? Could you please tell me which livestock and plants you have? I’ve made my 27 l (about 7 gal) no filter tank with fine gravel 8 weeks ago. Works well. Now I want to change my 96 l (25 gal) tank into a Walstad tank. No idea how to do 😂 cause it‘s a filter tank since more than 8 years with fishes in it.
LOVE YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS. THANKS.
Hey I love your tank setups! Been following your videos for awhile 😍 Would love to see you create a Glo tank with Glo fish someday?
FINALLY NEWTSSSS
Bonsai tree coming up?😍😍😍 i hope so..nice vid always
I like ur work a lot md .love from india 🇮🇳
Hi MD, love all your low tech tanks. Im thinking of making one myself.
Just thinking, maybe you should buy your wife a nice brand new seive and keep that one for the studio 🤣🌿💚✌🏻
How do you have power going to so many lights and filters in 1 little room?
Mind telling me where you are ordering the newts? Want to stock a tank i have but i need a decent website to order from and i cant really find any, thanks.
Love the vids
Are you putting any live stock in this new nano?
8:34 those are the BEST looking rocks I have EVER SEEN
I always wondered if you could put the soil in a filter floss bag so it wouldn't mix with the sand and could easily be removed if you re-scape. Would the plant roots still get to the nutrients? 🤔
Those nice dark rocks turn light grey after about a week. I got the same ones from AG.
So appreciating all the videos. The guppy tank is my new favorite (after the river tank...and the nanos...and the angelfish). From the brief moment you showed it, the flow might be strong for the guppies, they looked like they were working hard. In my tank I have higher flow for about 4 hrs a day, a workout period, and then more restful rest of day (with a powerhead on a timer). When your plants grow up they might have more quiet spaces?
It's all good, the flow is only strong directly in front of the outlet and they seem to like jumping in and out of it!
The daily upload streak continues. 😁
I've been trying to get rocks for weeks but they are always sold out of the nice ones.
Lol the quite defeatist comment cracked me up, great content MD Keep it coming
Ive heard for a filterless tank, you need thick soil but you say there'll be problems. I want to set up one but I want longevity out of my tank. Can you explain this further?
Wow! I’m making one for my mother. How can I go about transporting it easily?
The tank with the guppies and the snake skin fish i see you have rocks in there. What did you do to clean the rocks
I’m going to build my first no filter fish tank. I have 3 gallon tank how much soil should I use?
When are the fish coming to the jungle aquarium!
@aquascaper Eddie yeah big delays unfortunately :(
Can I use aquasoil instead of garden soil? I'm afraid if chemical etc..
You should take some really cool pics of panchos tank, before trimming and/or after it re grows. 😁
YAY!!!
Love you ❤️
I feel like the phrase "don't tell my spouse" is heard a lot in this hobby.
wohoho nice :P
Hey MD, do you have a link for that RGB light plz?
Gemma Simmons Garlinge looks like a ONF or Flexi mini, I’m not sure tho
Just wondering is the soil 100% necessary? Could you do it without?
what kind of tanks you use ?
hey, i love your videos! keep going! a question about your light on the no filter aquarium. what light is it and where could i buy it?
greetings a big fan :)
my english is so bad that i didnt read: IS NOW DISCONTINUED :(
I have got my two musk in a 400l it’s like a palace to them haha
Completely off topic, but your eye colour is so cool!
Este wey tiene ojos de niño dios. Saludos desde México.
Can we add aqua soil instead of sand to seal the dirt
Stupid question if you don’t do anything to the tank; what happens with the fish poo, at the minute I ciphon out the waste, which ends up taking water level down, so then I do the fresh water etc
Can you make a 100liter dirted tank
Sir plz reply and help me. I am planning on making 5 gallon tank. In my area, we don't have any shrimps for sale. Only snails available are golden mystery snails. Can i add them as clean-up crew ?
Mystery snails get huge! Like huge! And they make alot of waste... I wouldn't recommend they might be to much for a small tank. I know the pain, our pet store keeps no clean up crew animals
What type of fish or another type of living you are thinking to put on this one?
Please. Can i know the name of the led light you used in this beautiful tank.. I tried many cheap light but i dont like their color yellowish.. The one you used if nice white light.. Thank you and you are awesome aquascaper😊👍
you need to look for 6000k to 7000k colour.
@@MDFishTanks that L. Shapes you used i want that.. I you send me a link to buy that.. I click your link but it doesn't appear.. Thanks you so much
Sorry for some typographic errors
where do you buy rocks
No filter dutchstyle aquascape?
First btw love the videos!!!
When are you going to do another black water tank?
Is there a nano tank that anyone recommends for people in the US?
Maybe the new no filter tank can be called : The Frodo scape ! In the honor of lord of the ring ah ah. The scape is simple but the stone are ABSOLUTLY stunning :p
yeah but then i would need to use frodo stone
Do a saltwater nano reef tank!
I'd like to see that too. Nano reefs are pretty cool
yes
2:01 waterdrop falling from the ceiling? humidity problems in the studio or were you just splashing about in one of the tanks? :-)
polystyrene bead lol.
MD Fish Tanks ok, That was not an option I considered :D
You should just let the moss grow in the goldfish tank so it can carpet! Or add even more moss! it will look amazing!
What is that DRIP at 2:04?.?
"I should stop saying absolutely". Continues to say it probably about 20 times after that 😂
5 in a row Yay
MD make a crawfish tank . Get some electric blue crawfish .I have some myself. They are great .
You should do an iwagumi scape
3:17 its like...wa
Sir I have many doubts about planted can I contact with you
“Get some babies out of him” 🤔 I don’t think nature works like that
😂💯
Nope
But I think he meant him to be the dad
What about biofilm?
IF YOU WANT COLOR MAKE A NANO REEF TANK!!!
Are you still letting your kids do a tank? Wasn't it going to be the newt tank
6:37 scape finished
good night. Can I feed my fish. Eggs for big fish
You must be on a flight path
Hi
MD are you ok ? Has the creepy man in the thumbnail kidnapped you or smthing??
Try your hand at a nano reef.. 10 gallons is all you need!!
At least make one of the no filter tanks into a betta tank
I'm beginning to get mad. Ive watched several different videos labeled "How To: No Filter Tank" and yet not a single one actually goes into detail regarding the specifics of what is needed all they do is "Heres my tank set up and the plants I used, now do your own!" That doesn't actually help nor is it a "How To", its just a "look at what I can do" Stewart moment. (Thats a MadTV reference for those who don't know).
Here's some questions to answer for a proper how to:
Why do you choose the plants you choose?
What qualities of the plant breeds do I need to make sure of?
Are there any types of plants or specific strains to avoid?
What fish and why?
Any fish or specific types of fish?
Is there a recommended light level or just put any light above it that claims to be good for plants?
Can you list the bad signs to look out for or just things to always be on the lookout for in your tank as a sign of needed change?
What kind of filter feeders (like shrimp) do you use? How many is too many?
How many fish determined by the gallon size of your tank?
I'm posting this comment because I'm disabled and don't know if I'll be able to spend a few hours talking to the clerk at my local fish store about doing this conversion project.
You need an "absolutely" counter
