NO FILTER NANO AQUARIUM SETUP!! MD FISH TANKS
This is the first build in the new nano aquarium rack guys and I thought why not kick things off with with classic no filter build.
But, however, this tank will feature some new plants that I have not used before...."YAY!"
So The plants are coming hopefully today....probably wont upload tomorrow as it will be to rushed but will release a video early on Saturday :)

I like the idea of a newt tank. Friends here in Ireland bought a house that had had a swimming pool - outdoor - built by the previous owners. Given our weather it was unused for most of the year and they discovered when they came to clean it out - were thinking of filling it in - that it had newts living in it. So they added lots of floating plants then slowly added pond plants and it have been breeding newts ever since. So successfully that the husband recently dug a new pond in one of the fields just for newts and other wildlife to use, especially as the swimming pool has been taken over by ducks which have decided to make their new home in his garden. It means that the newts now have a choice of two different homes, one without ducks, and his garden is fast becoming newt paradise.

I’ve made my 27 l (about 7 gal) no filter tank with fine gravel 8 weeks ago. Works well. Now I want to change my 96 l (25 gal) tank into a Walstad tank. No idea how to do 😂 cause it‘s a filter tank since more than 8 years with fishes in it.

So appreciating all the videos. The guppy tank is my new favorite (after the river tank...and the nanos...and the angelfish). From the brief moment you showed it, the flow might be strong for the guppies, they looked like they were working hard. In my tank I have higher flow for about 4 hrs a day, a workout period, and then more restful rest of day (with a powerhead on a timer). When your plants grow up they might have more quiet spaces?

I'm beginning to get mad. Ive watched several different videos labeled "How To: No Filter Tank" and yet not a single one actually goes into detail regarding the specifics of what is needed all they do is "Heres my tank set up and the plants I used, now do your own!" That doesn't actually help nor is it a "How To", its just a "look at what I can do" Stewart moment. (Thats a MadTV reference for those who don't know).
Here's some questions to answer for a proper how to:
Why do you choose the plants you choose?
What qualities of the plant breeds do I need to make sure of?
Are there any types of plants or specific strains to avoid?
    What fish and why?
Any fish or specific types of fish?
Is there a recommended light level or just put any light above it that claims to be good for plants?
Can you list the bad signs to look out for or just things to always be on the lookout for in your tank as a sign of needed change?
What kind of filter feeders (like shrimp) do you use? How many is too many?
How many fish determined by the gallon size of your tank?
I'm posting this comment because I'm disabled and don't know if I'll be able to spend a few hours talking to the clerk at my local fish store about doing this conversion project.
