Orsoy is a district of the city of Rheinberg. Thanks to the Rhine promenade, its fortress walls and its historic town center, Orsoy is a popular place for local day-tour tourism, especially for cyclists. From Orsoy on the left bank of the Rhine, the river can be crossed by ferry to the Duisburg district of Walsum, located on the right bank of the Rhine.
This street walk / VLOG video starts at the Protestant church in the village center, then goes onto the dike with its Rhine promenade, and then returns to the old town through the medieval Kuhtor (“cow gate”) via the Wallpromenadenring, which follows the course of the former town wall.
Orsoy / Rheinberg is located in the west of Germany, not far from the border with the Netherlands, on the Lower Rhine, in the district of Wesel, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
