The Documentary of The Missionary Benedictines @50 in Kenya

The celebration of 50 years of monastic life and the mission by The Missionary Benedictine Monks of St. Ottilien together with The Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing from 1972 to 2022 in Kenya. Both Congregations were founded by Fr. Andreas Amrhein OSB in 1884 and 1885 respectively.
The Missionary Benedictines arrived in Chesongoch parish in the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret in 1972. They carried out great mission work in Kerio Valley starting with the parish of Chesongoch and then Chesoi, Arror, Endo, Embobut, Kamwosor, Kabechei and Kapkemich in Nandi County.
To date, The Missionary Benedictines still carry out different kinds of apostolate in different dioceses in Kenya namely; Catholic Diocese of Eldoret, Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi, Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri and Catholic Dioceses of Marsabit.
