The funniest thing, Is that I know what these cars are based off of. That yellow car is obviously a Mclaren F1 GTR, the red car is obviously the Farrari F40, that blue car is an Acura NSX. & that white and red car is the Porsche 911 LM
Arcade: Great graphics for its time, good handling and overall it's pretty good for a Model 2 game. Saturn: Great Saturn Graphics, Semi-Decent Handling and it's a damn good conversion from the Arcades. Congrats Jaleco, you did a great job here.
Eu vendo essas comparações do arcade sega model 2 e do Saturn só me faz crer o quanto a Sega era precipitada e fez o hardware do Saturn com poder inferior na época. Ela poderia lançar o Saturn depois de um ano com 2 processadores e no caso o VDP1 e VDP2 em vez de ser da Hitachi poderia ser independente, mas como assim? O que eu quero dizer que a unidade de processamento dos gráficos 3D poderia ser um processador de 32 bits similiar ou uma versão com 80 porcento do poder gráfico do Sega Model 2 e o de unidade gráfica 2D ser um co-processador de 16 bits para fazer os backgrounds e entre outras funcionalidades 2D. Eu sou nintendista, mas sou fã também da Sega e eu fico impressionado do quanto eles foram precipitados na escolha de hardware dos consoles que lançavam na época.
It always annoyed me that they replaced the tree sprites in the Saturn version. I like driving underneath those wind-swept African desert trees stretching over the track by the first turn.
funny thing is how the saturn version is only called gt24 instead of super gt 24h. it feels like the developers left out the "super" cause they lost confidence in themselves & the game. anyways i still like the saturn version.
The changes are notable but even so, the great work done with GT24 for Saturn is appreciated, since its graphic beauty is compensated by the multitude of details, only perhaps slightly diminished by about 30fps instead of 60fps, but Jaleco deserves it anyway. a big round of applause from the bottom of my heart.

Of course the better looking version is the original arcade release, but the Sega Saturn version is great for its home console 32 bit limitations. I’d be happy to own and play this game on my Saturn back in 1998... especially since the only way to play the version you see on the left is to visit an arcade and pitch a fortune in quarters at it.

Wow, the arcade version is almost a completely different videogame. Almost everything is different from the home version. I never played the coin-op, but the Saturn disc is…okay? Okay-ish? The graphics are a bit rough, bumping into other cars is sloppy, the spin-outs just kill you (your car does a 180 and then stops, it’s awful). On the plus side, the speed is (mostly) good and the car handling is (mostly) good. Surely not on the same level as Sega’s arcade conversions, but I’ve played worse. It just needs a little bit more polish and maybe a few more courses.
Esse port poderia ser bem melhor, não sei o que aconteceu pós Sega Rally que jogo de corrida só saia cagado, vide Sega Touring Car, Manx TT, GT24h, etc.
Se nem a Sega conseguia fazer uma conversão 100%, não é a JALECO que ia conseguir. Faça uma do Manx TT. Essa conversão não é ruim. Infelizmente o jogo é que é.

Percebo que praticamente todo jogo de corrida da SEGA tem que ter algum helicóptero ou avião passando kkkkkk Graficamente não deu pega, mas se a jogabilidade for boa, tenho certeza que diverte igualmente, ainda mais eu que estou habituado a jogar as conversões de arcade da SEGA para o Master System! +LGD Retrogamer Esse jogo é da Jaleco, que lançou o jogo em 1996 na placa Sega Model 2, e em 1998 a Jaleco resolveu portar o jogo para o Sega Saturn, e saiu isso aí que está no vídeo xD Mas confesso que esse jogo, apesar de não ser da Sega, tem o mesmo feeling dos jogos de corrida da Sega, até a jogabilidade lembra os jogos de corrida dessa empresa, ao menos na versão Arcade :P, pq essa versão do Saturn... nem tenho palavras para descrever o que achei xD

i like the saturn version. animation is smoother than usual,unless it is the power of emulator on pc. the clipping make it an inferior to arcade but the saturn version has its own identity tocompensate not being an arcade perfect on the graphism.
Versão Saturn claramente superior. Os gráficos em resolução maior e a alta taxa de quadros fazem o Arcade comer poeira. Isso sem falar nos efeitos, também superiores na versão caseira. SQN

Negativo, a versão de Saturn tem pixels estourados fazendo toda textura ficar granulada e a modelagem é inferior (Note que são os mesmos carros) e a taxa é agradável porém no Arcade ela é maior e suave, quem comeu poeira foi o Saturn e não o Arcade, até pq não houve preocupação da Sega com o 3D do console.
a resposta é sim e não. .o saturn com todos os processadores ligados era muito poderoso mais q o playstation veja a qualidade de Duke nuken inteiramente feito em mente o hardware do saturn. .virtua fighter 2 roda em alta resolução e em 60 fps. .tbm tem nights quake 1 burning rangers e panzer dragoon q são jogos a frente de sua época mas infelizmente era muito caro e demandava mais tempo para produzir somando a fraca política da sega com os desenvolvedores foi a receita perfeita para o desastre infelizmente

poder model 2 arcadas nota.se ter melhor memoria cache draw distance, um dos calcanhar aquiles sega saturn, programadores tiveram excerto dor cabeça sua memoria limitada ram gpu 3d, de 1.5mb ram so podiam usar metade 750kb ram, vale pena esforço conversao sega saturn a cores sao mais neutra, melhor musicas a pala uso cd

Sin duda alguna la ARCADE. La otra los graficos son mailisimos. Anque aun mayor sensacion de velocidad, la experiencia visual es bastante desagradable.

Like how there was a day night cycle for the standard lap races instead of a day time only race like the original arcade release.
Arcade: Great graphics for its time, good handling and overall it's pretty good for a Model 2 game.

Saturn version GT 24h knew for the first time, was it a screen that made it so much better!

The saturn's library is full of really great model 2 adaptations ! what's wrong with Jaleco ? It's an ugly game but not so bad in gameplay by the way.
I wonder what's the point of changing the normal starting method to rolling start in the Saturn version.

The biggest problem with the Saturn version is the absolutely awful draw distance.

Saturn was actually a beast with 3D graphics IF Sega themselves were doing the game..
They probably only had very early dev kits at Jaleco this shitshow looks a lot like Hang On GP on Saturn.

Phil Dawson its actually a half decent game on the saturn and pretty challenging, definitely in the top 10 racers on the Saturn!
