When my Dad was stationed in Germany, he rode in plenty of G wagons pretty similar to this. He preferred these far and away to the American Humvee's. They were much lighter, sturdier, and easier to repair than the early humvee's, it's a shame the old G-wagons are so hard to find in America.

I own a 1988 250GD for more than 15 years now. It's a fantastic truck. A very interesting feature you forgot to mention (or didn't know about): you can lock the diffs while moving. No need to stop; just make sure you're below 30 km/h. Extremely useful when the ride gets tougher and you don't want to loose your momentum.

87 Hp stock for the Danish military version like this. With some inexpensive tune up 100-105 Hp is easily possible. Anyway Rafal who built this one is definitely one of the best G restorers in Poland and does a great work.

“And now we’re stuck”, still shows the MB moving forward in the outside shot 🤣

    Nice bit of kit.
BTW you would normally pull away in low second not first. First only being used for steep descents with you feet nowhere near the clutch.
    Nicely presented.

Hello there ! Very interesting build! I am working on a student project in my University and our project is to restore and sell an exmilitary 240GD. Did you have to repaint the vehicle and is yes how much did it cost? Thank you !

Dude, as per usual, great ride, great presentation... an all around great video. Thumbs up. BUT, I do have one minor piece of advice, and this is by no means a deal breaker, but like all CZcamsrs I feel it's valid and you NEED to hear it. Aesthetically speaking, I feel the silver Mercedes badge should be black. That’s it. Keep up the good work, I look forward to your uploads.

I am a die hard fan of this deceptively simple but design wise it's way ahead... what would be appr. cost of one such model, to lndia.
