Sinéad Torres pretty harsh all right. it's actually really interesting how her relationship with her mother shapes her, especially later in the show funnily enough. how she responds to motherhood in general is great to watch and not something you see on tv very often. hope you get around to watching it soon!

Oh man! Yeah, I watched the Young Victoria movie (2009) a while back and got to reading only a bit on Prince Charming- er, I mean Albert- :) but not much on Victoria herself. I heard she ended up a ruthless mother with her kids 😬 I've been enjoying the bits of this series I can get on CZcams though. This vid struck a chord with me. How strong she was in spite of her stringent upbringing; perhaps it made her stronger in the end. Thanks for uploading.

the show makes it sound like once her children grew up past infancy she was good with them. we know this to be false. Albert was a good father but she had depression after several of her pregnancies, which means she couldnt have been a great mother. post pardum depression affects motherhood.
