Hello? Why don't you get it from the mother's perspective instead of saying she's mean and wicked? Do you have an only son and in that kind of situation? I have the opinion that she is somewhat rebellious and have an attitude and does what she like. She answers back and collides with the mother's anger. She can't wait for things to cool down and then talk to her even how much she hated her, she should at least try. She begs to stay but she cannot be humble in dealing with the mother. She's the one in need, yet she acts as if everyone owes her and she needs to be helped because of her situation. Hers is not a sad face but an angry face and it's apparent. They are right in saying that she's not beautiful not because she's ugly but because of her character. The son has a bright future but getting involved with her, we don't know. There's a pretty preggy, a cheerful preggy, a smart preggy, a skilled preggy but I call this one the frowning preggy.
She is staying at the house of the mother and she needs to make a big effort in pleasing and placating her. She needs to asks things that she didn't know, like how will she cook the dishes, how will she clean and wash and everything. There are a lot of things that she didn't know in that house and the preference of the mother. There's no harm in asking and she should show her cheerful face not her frowning face.
