The accident: Aerolineas Argentinas flight 707 linked the capitals of Paraguay (Asunción) and Argentina (Buenos Aires), with intermediate stops in Formosa, Corrientes and Rosario. Upon arrival in Corrientes, the flight was delayed due to a storm front "with cumulonimbus and cumulus potentis and congestus".Finally, the aircraft took off at 20:46 in the direction of Rosario airport. Nine minutes later radio contact was lost , when the ship was near the border between the province of Chaco and the province of Santa Fe, crossing an area of strong storms. There the crew lost control, crashing near Colonia Tacuarí, in a palm grove located in a place known as Loma Alta. cause: The cause of the accident was the severe turbulence the ship faced when entering the storm zone, which led to a loss of control and a steep 180-degree turn, falling at high speed at an angle of 40-45 degrees. The aircraft's entry into the storm zone was due to an error by the commander when designing the flight plan, choosing to navigate through the storm, instead of going around it, ignoring the recommendation of two commanders who had flown over the zone minutes before.
