- David is called to Italy to treat a gnome girl. She had eaten a strawberry that had been sprayed with pesticide. The only plant that can cure her is the Shining Begonia. David travels to the Alps and outsmarts a snake to find the flower. On the way back, he meets Pot, one of the trolls.Pot challenges him to a dancing contest, and David cleverly keeps Pot waiting until the sun comes up. The troll turns into stone in the sunlight. David goes back to the palace and revives the gnome girl.

I never realized how much this show meant to me until now. Watching it again from the beginning, smiling and near tears from the start... we 80s and 90s children had an awesome childhood, didn’t we?

love how they speak directly to the audience at the beginning and end of the show. This was supposed to be a pre-school/adventure series based off a children's book. Which why it aired on Nick Jr. when I was a little boy.
I don't know if it was a children's book. There were some instances of female gnomes with their breasts on full display.

That snake scares the hell out of me as much as it did when I was 5 years old, some things never change even after almost 30 years.

Wow how fast is Swift that he was able to casually run to Italy from Germany? And why could the kingdom's greatest doctors not identify simple poisoning? Most importantly, why am I analyzing a show for 4-year-olds?
Because it’s a surprisingly well-written kids’ show.

I get that Swift theme song stuck in my head every once in a while, but in my head it's on a string section in an orchestra. It's so weird because I hadn't heard this since I was about 5 in 1991.

Geezus, Swift must have a jet engine on him somewhere to make a trip to Italy, then to the Alps then back to Italy in what's assumed to be a short amount of time.

The idea to have Swift laughing at certain points was pretty cute.

all characters in this show, be they animals or these little dudes, look just too adorable, and even some of their movements do. the ending song is always the cutest one across the globe if you ask me, for all their movements being TOO cute! I notice quite many scenes in these BRB toons are very cute in full innocence and sweetness. SOmetimes my heart melts sweetly when I see their cute faces and lovely moves.

Were some of the designs for the gnomes so easy to draw that they just redid the same ones over and over for different characters? Which made me wonder why some of the characters looked similar to David and Lisa?

Was anyone else thinking how useless all the other doctors were in the situation how were they not able to diagnose the child the parents said they where the best but it doesn't seem like it
Pesticides are poisonous to most creatures such as Gnomes, Fairies, Elves, Goblins and insects, but David the gnome's right, pesticides are poisonous to a Child Gnome, Child fairy, Or a Child Elf.

😂 I was just watching the final episode and he was so condescending towards Lisa for being sad and wanting to take her time before traveling to DIE.
As horribly evil and ugly as those Trolls are, I have to admit, they were pretty entertaining at times.
I wish this show was more Like Gummi Bears and In The Middle Ages and had human friends and was more like Lord Of The Rings.
