This Ford Focus was absolutely FILTHY and full of bug guts on the exterior and the inside wasn't much better! It needed some intensive deep cleaning and detailing to get it looking new again and the transformation it makes is INCREDIBLE!

I bought a silver 2011 Focus as my first car in 2015 for 10k. Had 68k miles on it. I traded it in at 105k in 2017. I spent about $1,000 on maintenance during that time. Brake pads and rotors, tires, and spark plugs. That's it! They're a great commuter car, good on gas mileage, safe, and comfortable.
I still regret getting rid of that car. Last time I checked the CarFax it was still running strong. Has had some suspension work done, and thermostat replaced. Was at over 130k miles.

I love seeing the tires getting done. I’m not sure why, but it is so satisfying seeing them look clean, and then you scrub after spray them and they’re still a little dirty, but after the final rinse they look brand new.
Also, I have a question. My friend spilled a Starbucks drink in her car several months ago, and dried it up when it happened, but now there’s some mold on the carpet underneath the rubber floor mats. How would you go about getting rid of the mold? It’s purple, and only a super small spot, but nothing she has seen online has worked.

Imagine getting your first car and instead of being responsible and learning to care for it yourself, your mom pays to get it detailed. Incredible job, just kills me to see vehicles get abused like this.

May not have the stuff to make it look super nice. Yeah, the kid could have washed it with a hose and some car soap, but it wouldn't look as nice. My first car was a 2007 Kia Spectra, may it Rust in Pieces. Took care of it best I could, though the previous owner left much to be desired with the condition. All I had for the interior was some soapy water.. Scrubbed the inside of that sucker until my hands hurt. Looked much better though!

Imagine your mom paying for the detailing because she is sick of seeing it that filthy, then buying it from you to give it to her younger son, but having to pay for it being detailed once again... There's a pattern there...

    1. Remove the wheels off car, if not alteast the wheel caps, this is very much required.
    2. Show us your vacuum pump once, I can't imagine how big the machine would be.
    3. Do you also do ceramic coating?

Happy Friday means a new Detail Geek video is out! Outstanding detail for a repeat customer--can't believe it only took a year for the outside of the car especially to get really gunked up again, although I thought the carpets held up well from the previous detail. Nice that this little Focus is being kept in the family and still in use. Now I have to go find the video from when this car was first detailed by you!
