This is a good point, I'm glad you mentioned that, "the family of tubes, & or additives", so people can be more confident when it comes to selecting the proper tubes while drawing blood, in the proper order, without error. I'm looking forward to that video.
Hello Crystal 👋 I don’t remember why, but I thought you had left phlebotomy ? I’m so excited to see you again ❤️ I don’t know if you remember me ? But I am from the UK and I was following you from about 7/8 years ago as I was thinking about being a phlebotomist. I can’t stress enough how helpful and amazing your videos and tutoring was ( you are amazing ) I Qualified all those years ago, to become a certified phlebotomist. I work community and travel to patients homes, I agree with you about the tubes colours. In the UK we say “ order of draw “ it is so important to learn that order of draw and dangerous if not for the blood results to be accurate and correct. The amounts of times I have seen nurses and they don’t even know about the order of draw 😱😱 I saw a nurse the other day, she had a grey tube “ Glucose “ a blue tube “ Wafrin “ and a gold “ serum “ and a purple “ edta “. She was going to use the grey 1st then follow with the blue etc 😱😱 I didn’t want to embarrass her in front of the patient “ who was actually speaking on her phone, so rude “ Anyway I whispered and told her the order of draw which she then did successfully and when the patient left, still chatting on her phone and no “ Thank you “. I discussed and showed the nurse the order of draw and also the importance of this, I believe we all should know why we do certain things and procedures as this helps cement in best practice 👍👍 In the UK I don’t think phlebotomists are respected and also the pay is awful, but I don’t have any regrets 👏👏 Thank you Crystal and also how have you become younger looking after all these years, you look amazing 🤩
I start school Monday for Phlebotomy and I’ve been watching you to get a good understanding or some type of idea so I won’t be too lost I love the videos ❤
At the hospital where I work , the white tube is used as a discard tube when using a butterfly needle with a blue top in order to remove air to allow for a better flow. ( out patient transplant patients)
New to your channel. Great Job. Having a hard time matching additives to tube colors. 28 years as a First Responder. Just started my New Interest. Phlebotomy. Really having a difficult time with requisitions and top colors.
I got lost when you said “the tubes with no additives come first” but then said “blue is first because of the additive in it and we don’t want it transferring into our other tubes” .. I’m just confused sorry!
I have a question. Our teachers are sending us to clinicals only have stuck eachother once! All we have done is stuck the fake arm which has track marks to begin with. Our teacher keep saying the only way we will learn is by just doing it. Is this true or is this irresponsible if them because I dont feel ready at all
A video briefly showing which tubes belong in which color group and why would be nice again. I know you did it once before, but I don’t want to take all that time going through your videos to find it again.

Rewatching your videos. I’m getting back into phlebotomy after almost a year.
You're incredible at explaining everything and make it so easy to remember. Thank you so much!
Your videos are helping so much
Very informative, love the way you explain the groupings, was even type out from no additive to additive

Where do you work
You have no idea how much this helped!!
And you intuitive is such a coincidence because I’m certified in phlebotomy and read cards to ❤

We use clear white no additive tube when drawing blue top by vacutainer with butter for waste to allow for blood in tubing to fill blood properly❤
Hi I had a question so if u had a label that was mislabeled what would you do and what steps would you take to correct the issue
I got lost when you said “the tubes with no additives come first” but then said “blue is first because of the additive in it and we don’t want it transferring into our other tubes” .. I’m just confused sorry!
My apologies. It can be confusing and I speak on different scenarios. Stay tuned; I'll clarify.

Do you have a link for the flashcards ⁉️
Good.
Are you still providing the free course
I took the certifications exam. I missed it by 2 points. I have to retake. I know I missed the color of tube's some
When and where is your school
I can’t seem to find your phlebotomy role play you posted some time ago 😢
How long will it take someone for the leaning
I would think the white tube would go with the blue.
