Drew Garrett's Last Scenes As Michael Corinthos

(Side Note: I'll admit i've never been a big fan of Michael's but Drew Garrett was one hell of an actor, HUGE mistake to recast him in my opinion)
Michael has a close call when Ronnie shows up at the island looking for him, but Jax and Max get him out of there. Jason decides to have him moved to a Hotel.
Drew Garrett is the BEST Michael and actor!! It's such a loss for GH and i hope he is leaving because he has greater opportunities available cause he has the potential!
General Hospital like other soap operas are famous for wanting to take their characters in a different direction and for whatever reason they don't see the current actor or actress playing that role. You're told not to take it personally but it's very hard not to. You're losing your job even though you didn't do anything wrong and they don't think that you can pull off what it is they're going to do with the character. How do you not take that personally? You just have to roll with the punches. Anyone who's anyone that has grown up on soaps has probably been pink-slipped at one point or another on a soap gig. It's how you dust yourself off and handle it that matters most to your next job opportunity.
If you close out really strong On-A-Roll that ended abruptly for you, somewhere someone else might see that taping and have something in mind for you with a project that they are doing. You always have to forward think and that's hard to do in the moment when emotions are running High. I think Drew Garrett did a freaking fantastic job as Michael. Remember he was also a recast from a younger Michael who also did a freaking fantastic job playing the character of Michael. They wanted to age the character of Michael and so a recast was born.
Then after a year or so they want to take the character in a different direction yet again and for their own ideas of where they want to take the character they don't have you in mind so they recast the character yet again. It always takes a little while to warm up to a character recast. Think of how many people has played Carly? Each and every one of those actresses did a fantastic job.
The character of Kristina was recast because they wanted to take the character in a more mature direction and did not see Miss Ainsworth in mind for those future story lines. Everyone on set was upset especially the actress she was personally hurt but she took it in stride and once that stupid storyline was finally wrapped up and over the character went off screen for a time and they brought back Miss Ainsworth to continue playing the character of Kristina Corinthos. I personally think the actress could have pulled it off but I did not like the storyline at all and I couldn't wait for it to be over so that might be a silver lining that she didn't have to take part in that storyline. By the time she came back onscreen her character was right back where she should have stayed and they continue to move forward with the character like nothing ever happened. Nobody knows why the writers Envision who they do for the parts that they create. Sometimes they recognize their mistake and correct it other times not. I think every single actor that has played Michael Corinthos has been an exceptional actor and they all deserve recognition for the wonderful work that they have done for/on General Hospital.
Steve Burton looks good that he lose alot of weight. I am happy to see him return back as Jason Morgan.
I loved Drew, so sad he's leaving.

What is wrong with GH. This is one of the dumbest things they have done and believe me they have done some dumb things. Getting rid of Drew is just dumb. I wish him all the best and I'm sure he is going to be on someone's show very soon. He is extremely talented and had the best chemistry with the cast. I'm sure they miss him too.
The actor who played Sonny was FURIOUS with the producers for firing Drew for no reason.
Recently, Drew suggested the ONLY reason he could think of that they fired him was because he let it be known that he wasn't intending on staying on general Hospital his entire career & planned to move on to movies... in a few years.
So GH simply let him go NOW & replaced him with Chad Duell, who has been playing the part for 13 years now.
I didn't like Chad at first as michael but he grew on me. Too bad drew couldn't be casted in a new role.

He's not good AT ALL.He's a wooden stuttering mess who has zero chemistry with any female he's been paired with in the 10 years he's been on the show.
I did not like Chad when he first came on but I like him now. I think they wanted to age him so they could age morgan. And I think they went more for "eyecandy" I guess, although I think Drew is cuter, he has a more niche look and Chad's got the golden boy all american look about him.
I still think Drew was the better actor, but Chad's doing better now, or at least I'm used to him.
I wish Drew could get a good gig because hes so talented. He deserves more recognition.
@@sweetnsexcr2727 chad is the better one this one is ugly he won’t pull of the eligible bachelor look. He didn’t have any failed chemist starr Abby Kiki was amazing chemistry and even Sabrina. But because he’s a good character he has to suffer all heroes suffer and lose doesn’t mean they have no chemistry

shut up chad isnt horrible hes a rlly good actor, hes the only one who can play michael and hes played him the longest, so be quite if u still watch gh u would see how good he is and wats happening to him
