sharing art is a very vulnerable act, mostly because my drawings stem from emotions i'm unable to verbalize and process correctly, resulting in processing it through art instead.
i've been drawing since i could remember, i covered the walls of our houses with papers and tape to show off the drawings i had done. i always drew traditionally, pencil and paper or markers and crayons, etc. i first tried digital drawing back in 2017 (august 6 to be exact) and started with anime characters before leaving it behind.
i picked it back up in 2021 after not touching it for four years (i still did traditional from time to time, but not consistently) and started to draw weekly. of course, i wasn't super consistent at first. i only drew from time to time and they were still anime characters with horrible proportions.
it wasn't until 2022 when i got into k-pop that i started to phase out the "anime" style and start with realism, so it's been almost a year of me drawing consistently now and this is where i've gotten so far. of course, this is only an underdeveloped sketch that took like 30mins, but it's something.
i don't know if i'll ever render anything fully on tape but we'll see. this is still very nerve-wracking to post because art is my passion and also my biggest vulnerability. i'm still learning what i like and what i don't, different techniques that help and others that don't, etc... i already see things i would've done differently for this piece and it's only been a day since i've finished it.
