Billy is a great storyteller and those Cyndi and Bob impressions were hilarious. Watching that documentary you are just in awe of seeing so many musical icons in one studio. Quincy was as usual an absolute maestro piecing all those vocal parts seamlessly.
Billy actually sounds better as Bob than Bob does 😂

I have such strong memories of that song coming out and how it took up all the oxygen for a period of time. It made a huge impression, and formed my basis for what collaboration in the arts could achieve to help people.

Howard usually ruins the interview by constantly talking over EVERYONE.
Billy's impressions are hilarious, if he did a comedy medley it would be so much fun ! - or - a whole bunch of musicians together impersonating each other (for charity perhaps).
True. I thought he was serious and snobbish coz that's how I saw him in the documentary. Maybe he was just focused that night to be able to make his part perfectly

For some u younger ppl, that song was created to help out the Rowandins in Africa, when a neighboring country tried to do genocide on them. No performer was paid n all proceeds went to the cause to help them. This was in the 80s
