Even 2 weeks of resting can mess up your fisical condition, I know, this may sound a little too exagerated but as a gymnast I can tell you that the single time it takes you to master a skill, is the time that takes you to be at the same level of strength and resistency that you were before you rested... What did we get from resting 2 weeks? A LOSS OF TIME AND EFFORT.

Also, specialist will probably be chellsie/Riley/ Laurie instead of Kara. Kara hasn’t hit at worlds EF so how can USA trust her to hit at Olympics? Take someone else you can trust is going to hit so like chellsie

Due to the massive building and investments that represent an Olympic edition (we're talking about 11 billion of dollars just for the Tokyo edition), it's far more likely that these games will be postponed than cancelled.

Michael Leary what do you think about the 2019 worlds team. Was it right? Cos I think myk should’ve competed. I can’t decide whether to swap Mykayla with grace because Kara could’ve done bars in TF and myk could’ve done vault instead of grace. OR, maybe Kara wasn’t really needed, I mean grace fell in QF, but I bet she could’ve hit a routine on beam in Tf if she had to. I can’t decide. It was between grace and Kara for Mykayla to swap with. But if jade wasn’t there, obviously myk would’ve been on the team and could’ve picked up a medal on vault. I kinda wish jade wasn’t there tbh like I wish she had a World Cup at the same time or something, purely to let myk compete and win a medal on VT again. Oh well

JONOVID i dont think the victims would want us to just give up on living our lives. Of course we must take precautions to make sure people are healthy, but it is totally feasible to have the normal 2020 Tokyo Olympics and just have it without a physical audience. Considering everyone is home because of the virus, it means we will all be stuck to the televisions. This will create the right audience which balances the need to keep on living life and keeping healthy and stopping this infection!

Why don't the IOC show some leadership and postpone the Olympics? Even if they were to hold Games behind closed doors they'd be putting the athletes at risk, and a lot of athletes must be having their training disrupted by movement restrictions, social distancing, etc. Come on IOC, stop putting people's health at risk.

I prefer rhythmic gymnasts way more, cuz the body forms are way more, elongated, graceful and fluid. There is very little artistry in these munchkin tumblers here! When I watch the former, it’s such a joy but when I watch the latter, I just pray no one gets hurt!!!!
