You can damage the firearm by letting the slide slam into battery like you did with the slide stop/release! Doing that is only an excepted practice when a loaded magazine is in play so the slide can be slowed as it strips a round from the magazine.
This is a great gun. It replaced my Glock as my conceal carry. Shoots great and trigger is really good. Take down is easy. I would suggest getting a new backstrap from Taylor Freelance. It helps alot. I got one with two 12 round mags as well which is what I wanted. You just have to pay attention to the model numbers when you buy one.

The Backstrap actually is thicker fir bigger hands. More room from Backstrap to trigger. SC is versatile. Throw 15 in it and you have a compact....10-12 rnds...subcompact. (SC) I've got the Executive...SC and the new Mete. Awesome guns.

Didn’t have snap caps so doing it a few times during a CZcams video is just fine .. doing it over long period of times is not okay …
Finding magazines for this is like a whole treasure hunt, every where I look it’s sold out

get a tiny bit creative, used Beretta 92 mags and file out the mag catch in the right spot and you have a virtually endless supply of cheap mags
