When Zekka said look at the crowd boy. You can see Napom say “ I haven’t even gone yet”😂
People are probably going to call you biased but as a fan thats just watching it for the first time, its totally normal that you thought napom shoulve won. Look at the crowd, even they wanted a third round because they had a hard time deciding. From a pure judging perspective, napom messed up quite a bit, his flow broke sometimes, his beats were sometimes off count, some of his sounds didnt come through, and to go up againsy zekka whos energy and crowd control was throught the roof, napom just could not match it. Zekka on the other hand was powerful, had less mistakes, and throughout all his rounds was extremely consistent. His energy didnt dip so hard like napoms did, and when your beats are powerful and consistent, your opponent has to quickly match it or go higher than you and stay at that high consistent rate
Zekka also had much better structured rounds

I am really sad napom went out so early.. He had so much more to offer aswell. napom's so popular with liprolls that his technicality is under appreciated in my opinion
Before watching this battle, I was already rooting for Zekka, he was one of my champion predictions too before all gbb happened
Definitely true about his technicality being underrated, because his lip rolls have become as basic during his sets as kicks and snares are in other beatboxer’s sets, so they sound “less impressive” to people that are used to his sound
Zekka is also becoming a perfect beatboxer by time, I mean just like D-Low, he keeps getting better and better with a perfect mixture of both technicality and musicality
He will just have more material ready for next GBB
For me I felt like it was an easy win for Zekka, funny how opinions are so different sometimes
Same, I think it's a clear win but still close. Like if we're speaking points, Napom got 100 and Zekka 101. Obvious who won but still very close

Zekka had harder combos and less mistakes in his second round. Napom fumbled a lot with his faster tech stuff
Ma guy said he heard no mess ups Napom legit made a big mess up and he thought it was planned showing some bias there my guy
After watching this full video I get that ur quite new to the scene still
So let me explain why zekka won
First of all zekka had basically no mistakes and if there was they were very minimal but in both of Napoms round there were not too big but still obvious mistakes when he went super technical in his second round ultra instinct part he started the beat good but then he starts fumbling his sounds a bit then he resets with the everybody hops counter
Also their first round was much closer then u think adding on the mistakes I would give it to zekka slightly
Now the second rounds they both went off and I feel u under appreciated zekkas insane liproll build up and then the insane drop with such a large variety of sounds that are very hard to pull of anyway and then he did it on stage with up to no mistakes
Personally I believe even if Napom didn’t make the second round mistake zekkas second round was better so even if you make their first round a tie or even give it to Napom, zekka won the second round by a large margin
Btw I’ve only been beatboxing for two years so don’t think I’m an expert but this is my take on the rounds
I’ve been reacting to beatbox for 2 years so I’m not that new. But there are obviously things that go over my head still, especially since I don’t beatbox myself haha. Thanks for the info.

Listening to this battle multiple times, each time I agree more strongly with the choice to give it to Zekka. Felt closer on first listen, but repeat listenings highlight Napom’s weak points in his rounds. Zekka just had higher low points, equal if not better high points, and less technical issues.

I think NaPoM had the disadvantage of familiarity. NaPoM has been a bigger name for far longer than Zekka so everyone knows what NaPoM can do. Zekka is well known but imo he didn't really break out in a big way until the kickback battle when he became a household name in beatbox.
I had NaPoM winning this as well but I can understand why he lost. Styles come and go and typically the freshest style gains so many points just because people don't have "fatigue" from hearing it over and over.
Just my take.
That might play into it but Napom had a ridiculous amount of mistakes to be going against zekka
@@hasdaboss Zekka also made mistakes. Those weren't his cleanest rounds from all the Zekka I've listened to. He's done far better in the past.

During the livestream, my vote went to NaPoM but I don't know if it was the livestream audio or if NaPoM was just so amazing to me during that time, but after the video came out I preferred Zekka's rounds a ton more, his 2nd round came through so much for me
Napom had some mistakes and Zekka maybe one or two to none. Beat complexity and originality they were quite on par but Zekka got the crowd mindblowned and moving a bit more than Napom. It's ok to think that Napom should have won.
Just rewatch the video and see how the crowd react to Zekka
Just wanted to share my perspective as a (not really good) beatboxer
If you need me to pinpoint the mistakes i'll do so no probs because you ain't a beatboxer and i understand

I think Zekka won both rounds but I thought the 1st round was much closer than the 2nd round
Zekka won because of his complexity and his patterns and live i was there his 1st round was powerful and napoms 1st round was powerful but it seemed like he was just freestyling and then zekkas 2nd round was just mad compared to napoms
Napom is very energy but more like freestyle , while Zekka with his multiple monkey sound and did a massives counters in his second round
In video, its completly different but in real life zekka was way more powerful that’s why zekka won Respect to napom❤️

I think zekka went through for only one point, his rounds were slightly cleaner than Napom's, as in more structured and very clean combos. Napom went ape shit in the last round and it was amazing, but comparatively had less clean moments. Overall, one of the best and closest battles of this GBB for sure!
I agree that zekkas first round wasn’t great but the structure of the first round of Napom was really bad as well, both of their first round weren’t that great

It’s not shocking at all, Zekka won by far it wasn’t even close, i guess Kenny voted Napom cause they are friends. I understand tho that non beatboxing ppl like Napom more cause the hype and all. It’s like comparing Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, everyone knows Avengers IW is better but Endgame has way more hype.
False. Zekka didn't lose tempo in his first round, In fact Napom actually had more mistakes and broke the flow plenty of times in his second round.
He most certainty did lose tempo for a few seconds, not all together.
