love the white cotton pouch...hilarious alongside a firebox (always full of black sooth)
I’ve got them all. My favorite one is the 5” titanium but I love that you can take the pins out of the freestyle
I have the G2 5 - great stove. Just ordered a Freestyle to compliment it (both in stainless), and a Billy Pot. Firebox Stove makes great stuff.
Have the Nano and the Freestyle in the 4 sided only version. Found pellets are not great for the Nano but the Freestyle does great. I cut a piece of hardware cloth to place over the fire grate, place sticks to somewhat cover the 3 air /feeding slots so pellets won't drop through them. Drizzle some hand sanitizer over the pellets and it works great. After 50 fires on the freestyle there is some minor warping (Ti)....nothing serious. After 100 fires in the Nano....still perfect.
Was only looking at getting the everything only yesterday. Glad I came across your video. I like it alot. Ordering next week 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You can also do a “Double Triangle.”
Set the stove up in the “Bushcraft 8”
Than on the side closest to you. Push the 2 an 3 panel into the center. And fold them until there touching each other on the inside.
Get the 2 an 3 on the opposite side of the bushcraft 8. Pull them into the center folding them against each other also.
Than the 2 an 3 panel folded together from each side. Pull them to each other. An let them cross about half way.
You’ll end up with the 8 panel stove looking like the regular 4” freestyle stove in a square.
But in the center diagonally will be decided by them 2 an 3 panels. And you’ll have the fold down damper on the left an right side.
So it’ll basically be two triangles side by side both with the damper to fold down.
But instead of the triangles being separated their connected.
So you have the stability of them connected instead of being separated.
Also the pot stability of it being on a 4” square stove
What a great, comprehensive and well presented review. It's very rarely that i watch a review without having still some questions at the end. Well i can tell you that you answered every question in your thoroughly enjoyable presentation. My compliments to you Sir. I currently have a G2 5'' and i love it, but i was looking for something a wee bit lighter for hiking. I was considering the freestyle alongside the Bushbox LF Titianium. But i'm leaning now towards the freestyle simply because it's so much more versatile and the fact that i'm still so impressed by the quality and engineering of my G2 5''. Thanks for taking the time to put together this great review, have subscribed and belled. Looking forward to checking out your other videos.
Thanks for the kind words...more to come. Working through some issues at the moment, but thanks for stopping by!
@@heftyhiker5159 My pleasure, hope you see the light at the end of the tunnel sooner rather than later, i can totally relate. God bless and comfort you brother.
I got a Freestyle with the everything kit also, but I'm glad that I shelled out the extra bux for Titanium due to the weight... and now I also feel like my G2 is redundant :)
I can't wait to get out camping again, though it's looking like there's not much time until the burn bans start since we're already getting wildfires
😑
Yeah, I didn't feel the need for Ti since I am never carrying this while backpacking! 😁😁 Thanks for stopping by!!
Wow! Stopped the video halfway & advantage of the thanksgiving sales! I already owned a nano & a regular :)
I really think you'd make a great deal of money if you brand your own barbecue spice mixes and sauces .
Food is always consumed faster than other products , other barbecue products are usually a 1 time purchase and last for years .
But the food is where the money's at , use the title ( barbecue guy ) brand your sauces and spices you might even get a nation wide distribution deal .
FYI if your successful I expect a full stove kit for free .
Do you know if his stuff is any good? There's a million and 1 home cooks and whatever out there selling sauces and spice mixes and they're all over priced to cover the cost of small time production. Not to mention, spice mixes are always the same and the most very basic of ingredients...and the mixtures are all over the internet.
@@Swearengen1980 hard to disagree with what you mentioned, the point is food items ( regardless of their quality) are consumed faster than equipment .
So the idea is to develop a product that has a repeat customer base . Instead of hardware that is probably a 1 time purchase.
Not everyone is going outdoors but almost everyone can cook , that's all .
FYI english is not my 1st language so excuse any bad grammar.
Have you seen the Picogrill 85 and 398? Super cool, ul additions 🔥
Had to go look them up. They look awesome, but not sure I need another grill!! (Said no one ever!) I'll be doing another vid soon on the Toaks Ti twig stove. So many stoves, so little time 😀
For my needs, the Bushbox LF Titanium worked better for me.
Choices and options are part of what makes this so fun to me!! Thanks for stopping by
Why a grating on the bottom? Wood burns best on a bed of ash.
It does burn super fast because of the airflow, but unless you're using it with a Swedish fire torch method, it's impractical to run without a grate as the legs hold it several inches above the ground. You could use bigger wood but it would tend to spread at the bottom once it burned below the level of the bottom of the stove. You also need a grate to run other fuel types. Thanks for stopping by!!
So you can make a rubbish version of the Trangia Triangle and a rubbish version of the Honey stove, all sitting on TWO separate boxes !
Thanks for the comments. Not for everyone of course. That's why we do these so you can make up your own mind based on seeing it. There are a ton of options, pick the one best for YOU.
@@brians7604 Grow up, and realise that Firebox have run out of ideas and are trying to sell you absolute nonsense..They are literally getting you to buy 2 stoves and telling you its one system !
Love my 5" firebox Titanium with with a few add-ons. Almost half the weight of the steel version and just as tough. Cools down way faster too.
