I noticed I missed editing that part in! I put a fairly thin layer of the Triple Thick and then turned the domino upside down with something heavy on top. to dry. I did this because I didn't want the paper to "curl." I think Turbo Tacky Glue would also work well. Thank you for your sweet comment!
Tia Williams Amazon! The best deal, is to buy, the 6 pk, for $20.00! Otherwise, it’s arnd $8.00 approx for one!! I LOVE WORKING WITH IT!! Thankyou Happy Bird!! Love your items! Have made a bunch of items!!!
I really enjoyed your video. I’ll have to give this a try after my current projects. I did enjoy looking through the book, I love butterflies and birds, so yes I’m going to look at the book. Thank you for sharing your videos, time, and talent. Have a great day.
Not only do I love your work, but your voice is so soothing to listen to, so all you have to say is easily understood and never irritating. Thank you for such a beautiful craft
Beautiful! Your videos are a pleasure to watch and to listen to. So many great ideas. I am making a lot from junk jewellery and other recycled items and it's amazing how different the ugliest bits and pieces can become when you put them together with a bit of imagination!
Lori, you are always so sweet on your videos! You always share all of your great finds. You are so appreciated! I care for my elderly mother, with dementia, which can prove challenging. Because of this I had to give up my craft room and am not able to craft, but your soothing, gentle voice, and watching you craft often helps me relax. So thank you!
I love watching your videos, not only for your instructions, but your voice is so calming. I've watched this video over and over!!You make the prettiest objects from things hat don't cost a lot to begin with. Thank you so much!!
I thought your curly-que antenna on your butterflies is totally precious! Like Debi said, I could watch you all day. I love that you use toothpicks! I do also. They're like the all time universal poking spreading moving thing!
I've only recently found you and absolutely adore everything you make. They are simply stunning. I do make a lot of things out of bits and bobs and would love to make some of the things you do but I live in the United Kingdom and don't have access to many of the things you use. The UK Ebay and many other craft shops don't carry the stocks and delivery charges from USA are very expensive. Having said that, I am determined to make some of your crafts and will no doubt find some alternatives. Thank you so very much for all your hard work and sharing. x
Love watching these videos over and over when I feel like I need some meditation time I just put these videos on and listen to her voice so I don’t just watch to learn I listen to relax.
It's so hard to enjoy your videos because your voice is soooooo soothing it relaxes me while I am trying to watch (even at work lol). You definitely should do guided meditation videos. XOXO
I finally got a chance to sit down and watch your video and oh my gosh!!!! You've outdone yourself!!! I am in awe and love the paper! The butterfly buttons are a wonderful touch and have given me some ideas for future pieces. Thank you for another great tutorial!!!
Just love watching your videos, I find them so relaxing and I can’t get enough of your great ideas. Thank you for what you do. We all really appreciate them all the time!💖💖💖
Well this is February 2023 and I am looking at this video and I love all the creations and things you make, you make it seem very easy to make, God Bless you💕 I love your videos!!
I absolutely love your work. I just discovered you last week. You probably won't see this, but just a suggestion to have baby wipes handy so you could wipe the glue off your hands quickly instead of working with gluey hands.
I LOVE these! LOL but you are a bad influence on me! I just ordered 3 different kinds of wooden buttons, bails, and triple thick! Can't wait to play! Thanks so much for taking the time to share such awesome ideas with us!
You are absolutely amazing! I was looking for some beautiful butterflies to make and yours were stunning! You take ordinary items and make them “extra-ordinary!” Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with the world. Your calming voice makes it an even more pleasurable experience. You are a fabulous teacher.
I ordered the German glass glitter and let her know you are the one who recommended her shop She was very happy to hear that ! and made comment how great you are dear
I made some of the ornaments and had so much fun. I ordered the German glass glitter in the large size first because I wasn't sure, then I ordered the fine, then a medium (70) I think it was and they all have their own great look. Can't wait to try this one. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely work.
Made these years ago..I have tons of dominos, and that paper stack was one of my faves...I bought it in all the sizes available,lol..I have multiple stacks of it,actually when big lots sold scrap stuff,I got many pads..I am embarrassed to admit how many of these and many others I have...Paper hoarder,nah.....not me😳😍😯☺️🦋
HappyBird, you are so inspiring and I can't wait to get started on some of the many gorgeous projects that you've detailed. You have the most relaxing voice, as well. I watch your videos simply to calm down after a hectic day. Keep posting!
Those would be so adorable as an advent calendar for a teen/woman with necklace chain. Another of your vids in my “Craft This” YT folder. The papers are beautiful
I commented on your fb. I love them and put several together. I added to your fb a while back. I really love them. I am now working on another project of your video. Show and tell soon. Thanks you for all you do for us all. I love triple thick.
Great tutorial! Omg! I have this paper pad collection. I have everything and I'm going to make me some charm dangles. Yay! Thank you so much for sharing. GOD Bless
I adore this project! I made my first one today and they are as cute as a button! No pun intended lol. of course I made some modifications to make it my own, I used small eye screws, small wooden blocks instead of dominoes hence the eyes crews, bling ribbon you can get at the Dollar Tree, and I didn't have 22 gauge wire so I took wire Christmas ornament hooks and straightened them out for the antenna. Very pliable. I then took a Sharpie and colored them black. I also used a gold Sharpie instead of a paint pen to outline the butterfly and wood block. It turned out well I think, and I already had some supplies on hand. I will be using my first creation to adorn a mini album I am making for my best friend's birthday. I love all of your craft ideas and the way you explain things! Keep them coming, you are a great inspiration to me!
Love all your beautiful projects. I have make some of them and am very happy with how they've turned out. Thanks to your wonderful totoriols. I must try this project also. I do have the mariposa stack. I've hoarded it for long enough. I was lucky to by it on clearance just because it had some little bit of damage. So tfs. Hugs and blessings.😊 to you
Watching this vid again cause they are so pretty. A tip that I just learned though. When you glue your rhinestone chain on turn the top row and put your glue on the side. Then your rhinestones sparkle from the top and you don't see their sides. When I made mine I did them like an assembly line.
Another wonderful video. I don’t think you should change anything about how you create the videos, just perfect. ☺️. I am looking for cheap dominos to get started.
I am awe struck! They are so very beautiful! Absolutely amazing! Thank you so very much for sharing this with us! Also, would you please make a brooch using one of the largest butterflies in the Mariposa card stack? That would look so stunning!
These could also be super cute keychains.!!!! Or for girls backpacks...I know I loved to hang things on my backpack to bedazzle it lol P.S Your Spanish when saying Mariposa was perfect.!! 😊👍🏼
I so Love all your projects, they are all so Beautiful! Thank You for all the time and effort you put into bringing us all these Wonderful Videos! Blessings your way!
Okay Miss Happy Bird, I have been watching several of your tutorials and I'm just amazed, you are one of the very best Crafters I have seen and you teach it to where people can understand it and I just wanted to say thank you so much and I won't bug you LOL but sometime in the future I might have a question for you if that's okay thank you so very much I do appreciate you, Maxine
Sorry I just had to tell you one more thing I have already ordered that triple thick and gloss glaze and I have printed out all the little words Joy love peace faith now I'm just going to have to watch your video very carefully because I want mine to turn out looking as good as yours I don't want mine to mess all up. LOL thank you again, God bless you
I saw this on FB and just fell in love! I’m so glad you did a tutorial! I just wish I had all the elements to make this beautiful piece. I’m slowly building supply so that I can make things like this and so many of your beautiful pieces. I thoroughly enjoy watching you pull things together. Thank you!
If you hadn't put the gold around the edges, which looks beautiful, once you secured the paper on the domino. You can take an emery board and file the edges so it would be uniformed looking. Just a thought! That works good also for altered altoid tins. I love the gold edging alot, will have to find the gold pen you used.
Very pretty! I am definitely going to make some, as I have tons of regular dominoes and some mini dominoes and the rhinestone chain, but I do not have any Triple Thick Glaze, so I will use Glosssy Accents. TFS!
Gorgeous!! I love them! I think my favorite part is the butterfly. And I was Ooh-ing and Ahh-ing at that gorgeous paper pad. 😍🦋. Thanks again for another "honorable mention" and for your amazing inspiration.
You do such beautiful work. I have learned a lot from watching your tutorials. Can't wait to start making some altered domino charms. Just ordered almost $100.00 worth of charms, etc. Haha Thanks for sharing! :)
What kind of glue did you use to adhere the paper to the domino? They are beautiful.
Claudia, I used Mod Podge, but watered down Elmer's would work fine.
Were do you get the triple thick
Suzanna Azbill Amazon has it.
