    Steering servo is 11kg. The carbon version truck comes with a 540 motor, you can also move the esc with the provided mount up onto the top of the 2 center braces. You can then fit standard size batteries ie 5000mah, to fit larger size 540 motors into this aluminum version truck. You need to change out the stock motor mount to the mount that comes in the carbon version truck.

      My carbon one arrives today, rlaarlo themselves emailed me and said to run 4s it only needs a 120a esc, motor is low kv so will be fine for 4s

      Chinese companies can't do anything without stealing technology from Western companies. Asking a gook to innovate is like telling a special Olympian to beat Michael Phelps.

    Excellent review... Looks like a good little ripper.. Was mentioned below the carbon version has the 540 size motor! Wooo!!!. LOTS of features..Love the idea of interchangeable A arms and the ability to add carbon to stiffen things up.
    Think for the size the 380 setup will do well on 3s...
    Agree again, the manual is a mess... and no-one likes plastic wheels on their radios.
    Can't wait for the running video Vas!! Send it!!

    Great review Vas 👍. Yes a lot to like , interchangeable parts good suspension and towers . Good rubber on the wheels. The overall impression is good . The proof of the pudding will how it runs with the included power train and if the servo cuts the mustard. Let’s see how she goes. As always enjoyed the unboxing and your opinions.

    I have had this little truck for a while now and its had a couple of dozen packs through it.. All in all its a great, durable truck. The speed is absolutely fine, easy fast enough to have loads of fun bashing, my son loves it. For the battery Turingy make a 2700 mah which is easily available, its very cheap and is 105cm long and fits just fine and lasts 20 to 25 minutes,, most of all the battery is cheap so I just bought a few. Only thing I would say is the body on the aluminum version Is not good, it shattered very quickly and did survive even modest bashing. I ended up buying a replacement body. There is a more durable body that comes as standard on the Carbon fibre version. So by the time you have replaced it with that it would have been better to buy the carbon fibre version in the first place.. That is however my only gripe, apart from that its cheap, durable and great fun to drive. its a safe buy if your looking for a high performance Rc truck that's really easy to rive and control (beginner ish).

    48dp is what youd get in a 1/10th touring car not a truck. I agree 32dp or mod1 is the best standard

  • @disciplinerc

    On Rlaarlo's website they listed the amount they have in stock. I always get that fear of missing out but yet I don't want to over pay either. They have the Omni Termination Carbon Fiber version from $330 to now $250 (sure I know it is a marketing gimmick); but do think we will see this cheaper by the time it hit Amazon? Or buying the pre-sale is the better bargain? Your thoughts.

    • @philote09
      @philote09 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Will it ever be on Amazon? Over here in Europe they aren't. And the intro price actually was the lowest. I think the standard prices are just a bit too high for what you get.

    • @boduke9428
      @boduke9428 Před 6 měsíci

    The choices made feel somewhat inconsistend. For instance the basher/budget friendly A-arms but than the not standard servo size.
    But than again 1:10 are normally very tough. I guess you will have a hard time breaking it. And this one will be nice and quiete too. Does it have a composite spur as well?

    • @gillian9178
      @gillian9178 Před 6 měsíci

      Spur is alloy metal, the diff input gears are also straight cut alloy. The carbon version truck has chrome steel spur & chrome steel spiral cut diff input gears.

  • @speckledjim_
    @speckledjim_ Před 6 měsíci

    It's almost like they've deliberately included weak electrics knowing that people will probably swap them out, but 48dp...you'd have to faff around trying to get a suitable spur. Confusing choices.

      @AussieRCPlayground  Před 6 měsíci

      Cheers. Depends on the application, I personally prefer the alloy for hard bashing and the carbon for light bashing and circuit work. Both will be great, I'm sure, so I don't think you can go wrong with either one. 🙂

    What’s the length of this battery?

  • @philote09
    @philote09 Před 6 měsíci

    Why do you say it may resemble the Team Magic E5 in size? I have the E5, that's definitely a full-size 1:10, close to a Granite and the likes. This one is way smaller.

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  Před 6 měsíci +2

      I have 3 E5 trucks and they are among the smallest of the 1/10 scales on the market, so that's why I mentioned it. Trucks like the Granite, Big Rock, Stampede, Quantum, etc, look a lot bigger and in a lot of cases, they actually are. My point was to paint a picture that this truck is on the smaller side of the 1/10 scale market. In hindsight, I probably should've just showed some side by side shots, but this was done rather quickly and I didn't have the time.

    • @philote09
      @philote09 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@AussieRCPlayground OK maybe it's because my kids' 1:10 trucks are relatively small so my E5 looks big ;-) Agree the length is smaller than the Granite's but width, wheelbase etc. is much closer. But I should stop because this here is about the Terminator and not the E5. And the Terminator indeed is more like a 1:12 than a "small 1:10", fully agree.
