    If I were going to spend a ton of money on a mid size truck I’d just go all in on the ZR2 Colorado Bison. High output engine, 35 inch tires, boron skid plates and steel bumpers. All from the factory for cheaper than you could lift the Taco. And I’m certainly not brand loyal having owned every manufacturer full size truck except for Ram.

    One of my biggest beefs with the Taco has always been that you can't put an even slightly bigger tire on it without rubbing everywhere unless you lift it, so you're stuck with those stock Prius tires.

    • @austinwade3194
      @austinwade3194 Před 3 měsíci

      You can do it, you just have to mindful of the offset. I have 285/70/17 on a 3rd gen taco with a +4 offset (+12 would be about perfect), no lift, no cab mount modifications and I don't rub. Also, getting a traditional lift doesn't really change anything since your truck is capable of articulating the tires to the exact same location when you weren't lifted. Yes, you can get a slightly larger tire on the 4th gen, but the thing that sucks is your going to be stuck with a high positive offset/flat looking wheel... that is if you don't want to pepper your ride with rocks constantly and also avoid rubbing.

    Every person complaining about the MSRP on these things….. get over it. This is what these pickups were selling for over the last 10 years. Dealer markups be damned. People STILL bought these. And they will continue to. Toyota just got smart and decided if people were paying for these trucks, why wouldn’t THEY capitalize on it? There’s only so much the dealerships can mark these up for. Right now Im shopping for my son truck either Ranger or Ridgeline. At least they are V6 either American made n Japanese quality made. Another lies that economy is to blame n that is the lowest excuses.
