Anyone else catch this? When Manson sings "If tonight lasts forever" the music is that kind of dreamy 80's music. The kind that you'd hear during a movie like Sixteen Candles or The Breakfast Club. It's the kind of song that plays while you're lying next to your crush on a grassy, sunlit hill. But then when he starts singing "It won't matter-" the 80's music turns into something completely different. It turns into an unsettling, empty, single sound. It's symbolic. You think back on the times of you and her/him together, before she/he was taken from you. That right there sums it up perfectly. No matter what memory you think of, you'll always know that they're gone, and that there's nothing you will ever be able to do about it. And then it cuts right back to the dreamy 80's music, beginning the cycle we all know so well. We can't stop thinking about the memories we had with them, but everytime we do we're just reminded of their absence.
I tend to agree this genius has been to hell and back through drugs and alcohol he has managed to escape and because of his efforts he once again created a phenomenal album that will transcend through our troubled lives and rescue us from our own endeavors thank you once again marilyn manson

This Marilyn Manson witch trail is the most annoying thing In the history og rock! Manson is the most gentle person, and he is innocent. And he is one of my favorit aritsts.

Dude, MM's like a fine scotch..... he gets better with age! And if you really listen to all this music, he honestly hasn't changed much. He stays true to his core, but he modernizes it, because things always change, and it's gradual. That is, if you are knowledgeable of his early work before Mechanical Animals. You can hear the difference between Antichrist Superstar. But regardless, he is a great musical artist. He just keeps getting better!
