Thanks for watching! - Zábava
I’ve been looking for a pad for over two years (this is the 4th one) and this is THE ONE! Got the Large Size AeroCloud Sleeping Pad Elite (I am 6 feet tall [1.8 meters], 175 lbs [75 kg], side-sleeper). Pitched my Durston X-Mid 1 to give a try and found it fits perfectly with adequate spacing on top and bottom for small stuff storage. I’m really pleased with the comfort, height and width. Most importantly, it supports my arms without them hanging “over the edge.” Great price, weight, size, and R-value; check, check, check!
Not less than a week later, had an issue which required a replacement. Wrote an email on a Sunday night and it was answered in less than one hour, unbelievable! I explained what happened they said they would replace it free of charge. It arrived today and I’m thrilled! Great product and exceptional customer service! Thank you Kilos!
I'm glad that you like it so much! I agree, it's a great pad and is definitely the largest backpacking sleeping pad that I've used. I'm glad to hear yours was replaced with no issues! Thanks for watching my video and happy trails!
I might get that to replace my Thermostat. Backpacking pads have come a long way since my old Ensolite pad, but that thing was damn reliable.
I just had to look up an Ensolite pad. They definitely have come a long way! haha
I’ve had this pad for about 2 months. 2 things I’d say. It’s never a 5r. You can literally see through the thing. The second and that’s the big flaw, I’ve already had to patch it 3 times due to tiny holes developing in the welds on the holes on the top. It is comfy and it is exactly the same size as the sea to summit Etherlight XT large that I also have.
Ordered one a few days ago wish I had seen your comment first. Are you still having issues with it? Roughly what sort of temperatures do you think it would be comfortable down to?
@@El-Jefeupdate us when you get it
@@nicolekesselring3398 will do 🙂
@@nicolekesselring3398 Update I just got mine a few hours ago pumped it up put it in my spare room and it's already lost half the air in it.
mine leaks too this pad does not hold air.
the extra 2 or so ounces could be from the bag, you never know if they mean the pad itself but that’s still good weight. and for it’s size that’s pretty nuts, i may opt for the valve. thanks Alex
That's a good point! I didn't think of that. Yeah, it's a great weight and size for a quality sleeping pad
You did miss one thing: This is NOT an ASTM rated pad. Their claim of 5.0 r-value is just that... a claim. This isn't some minor issue either - a cold pad could be the difference between living and dying if you're on the edge of hypothermia. I find their claim deceptive, at least until they decide to produce evidence of an ASTM rating.
Unfortunately its ali express stuff marked up
it just looks like a lite version of the q core delux
I ordered one the pad leaks air even when you aren't on it, it's pretty much flat within two hours of inflating it.
Thanks. My current Klymit pad leaks through tons of micro holes all over it. So I am looking for a non leaky one! Haven't seen any real user reviews yet of the kilosgear. Only affiliated or free product reviews
@@adamandlorraine mine literally doesn't even try to stay inflated even without me sitting on it, so I don't think it's a micro hole, in another comment here the commenter says he's had to repair his 3 times already because of leaks in the welds. All these pad video's came at the same time (with the paid review disclaimer) and I've noticed this week suddenly the kilosgear chair is the best chair reviewers have ever used. Make of that what you will, but I think this Chinese company posing as a NY based company might be being generous with their marketing budget.
Mine has a major manufacturer defect to it mine lasted 7 days
@@dennissnyder6330 sorry to hear that what is wrong with yours? what happened after 7 days?
REI has the REI Helix Insulated Air Sleeping Pad (R 4.9) for $119. Fourth of July Sale
PS The Long Wide is the same price as the regular.
I wish they made quieter sleeping pads. I'm a rotisserie sleeper and would like a quieter pad. Tired of potatoes chip sleeping pads!
I totally agree what I have seen is 1.Warmth 2.Weight 3.Size (LxWxH) 4.Comfort They need to add a noise rating!
Big Agnes... Happy Betty....
Is it quiet? I move around during the night many bags wake me up. I have also seen that there are complaints about small holes developing.
He demos that and it crackles. 8:08 in
Ehhh it's not loud but definitely not quite... It's about on par with most sleeping pads. As for holes, I have yet to have any problems with mine
Mine had some major manufactured defaults it lasted 7 days
I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope you can get the situation resolved!
Is the R value astm rated?
On their website it says ASTM F3340-18 tested
@@AlexHatlevig I looked at the website and couldn't find anything about astm testing. Made me skeptical.
@@LeonKocher Understandable! I saw a small badge on one of the photos on their website with the ASTM rating
@@AlexHatlevig I didn't even see that. I watched the video and he stated that. Since they can make up a rating I like to see the astm rating. Not a bad pad. I'm looking and have been eying the REI Helix Insulated or the OV Oblivion.
Who uses a 2 person tent for two people? :)
🤗🤗🤗 tbh I am looking to get a 3p for me and my girlfriend. It gets pretty cramped! lol
