I know! It just gives us even more Firefly bias. This will still probably be Boothill's best in slot and they nerfed it for him and ONLY him, because every other Break DPS is either running with HMC anyway or is Firefly.

Himeko actually gets a lot of value from the Grand Duke set. Her Follow-up deals 4 instances and the four piece gives one stack per damage instance. This means that with two enemies on the field, a single follow-up from himeko will max out the set. It will be hard to beat that with any new follow-up set.
Yanqing could possibly use the Valorous set; he has an FuA in his kit (which people often forget about) but obviously is not his main source of damage, but his ult then does a pretty large amount of it. Atk% 2pc is also pretty decent on him with all the crit he has by default anyway.
I just give my yanqing 4pc quantum LOL
read ice set once it does the same but for all his dmg not just ult and the 5% doesnt justify it

Even on Yanqing it's going to be pretty inconsistent. Under normal circumstances (as in not using his ult multiple times in one turn) any given Yanqing ult will only have a 60% chance to benefit from the 30% damage buff, and that's if his Soulsteel buff was active in the prior turn, which may not happen if he gets hit or if SP management becomes funky (usually those aren't issues but Yanqing is a pain in the ass to play). And it's not like his Ult is the majority of his kit's damage; I doubt it's more than half, probably less. I don't think the set is overall better than Pioneer, the main issue with Pioneer is that it limits his teammates and even then that's probably not a huge deal.

I believed Super Break counts as Break so it benefits from the 10%. But Break itself does not count as Super Break so anything that improves Break Dmg will apply to Super Break Dmg but not the other way around.
The valorous set is kinda foreshadowing upcoming Yunli's or Feixiao's kit tho

I think these are more for future units. The FuA one is different enough building stacks to buff consistent damage. The break one will probaly be best for future break units since super break is a new mechanic, im surprised Boothill didnt have it but also understand them wanting to give it to Firefly first.
for me im using boothill the new set 4 piece does look good for him but needing harmony trailbrazer for the super break buff is kinda forcing a space in the team with ruanmei coming i was gonna switch her in instead of the trailbrazer so my line up would be boot hill, ruanmei, bonya and gallager but with the 4 piece needing har trailbrazer i might need to remove bronya instead
I have a bunch of relic dust saved up, and 5 self modelling ones. I plan to use these to get firefly a 4pc set with at least the right mainstats and some subs
I think wind soaring valorous could be usefull on Yanquing, he has a weak follow up attack that does not realy want to deal dmg, and a high dmg ultimate

i think this break would be good on hmc but the def ignore would only work if hmc's abilities are the ones doing the SB damage(basic or skill) if he's equipping the set, if you only need the main dps to do def ignore with this set then hmc doesn't need to use it, because hmc's exclusive SB mechanic is tied to the characters you do SB dmg with and their own def ignore/res pen values

The set was just fine b4 but then the firefly bias came out so they had to make the set work better for her.

I currently have an e4 xueyi that im building right now
I think my two most farmed domains are the one with FuA and DoT sets, as well as the one with HP and SPD. Though the newer one with Debuff and Break is also pretty good. Between them, you can outfit most units to some degree. I'll likely farm the new domain for Firefly's bis set. I'll feed the leftover gold pieces into whichever 2 piece set fits her. Don't really care for farming the SU
I got 15 Stamina Pots and 1200 saved up energy with that domains name in my bag. Atleast atk% is good for rainbow sets.
This set is new player friendly though, say they started during Robin banner. They can farm 2p attack, farm Firefly gear, and farm Yunli's BIS at the same time.
I'm really hoping they make last minute changes to these relics before release. at least to the follow up one to make it a little more general use cuz no one we currently have can use it especially compared to Grand Duke set.
I believe that HMC ult just give a buff that convert break dmg in to super break so the super break that other character do is not consider HMC super break so we don't need to change iron cavalry set on HMC and the part is super break def ignore is stack with break def ignore or not am still not sure about it mayby we need to see when the set come out.
I will farm the Iron Cavalry set for my entire BE team; I did some calculations, depending on the enemy, usually if you have around 180% BE before set bonuses, the DEF ignore on the set becomes more valuable than another 16% BE from running 2pc+2pc (though it depends on the enemy level and the DEF shred/ignore you already have, if any). I think the set will be really interchangeable because it's not element or playstyle specific, any team that does primarily Break damage will benefit from it.
If the calcs come in and say the Valorous set is good on Yanqing, I might use it on him, but honestly I tried calculating it myself and I highly doubt it will be an objective upgrade to Ice/Quantum/Pioneer with how inconsistent the buff is on him. I think the set would truly shine on a character who deals at least as much damage with their Ult as Argenti or Acheron, but neither of them use FuAs so that's nobody right now lmao.

The new ultimate/FUA set will probably be good on future character. I don’t see anyone other than Yanqing could ever use that one.
Regarding your question about if it stacks, I think it does. If we look at the damage bonus which is given to the break damage by the Gallagher's ultimate, we can see that it works on the super break, too. I assume that break bonuses and debuffs work on super break, too. So we could end up with 25% super break def ignore. Harmony MC would prefer the watchmaker set just because his damage is not consistant + if we play against enemies without imaginary weakness, we consider someone else would break and benefit from his break bonus
I think cavalry could be ok for Ruan Mei. She always deals break damage + if played with HMC, she can deal some super break damage. It will be even better on her starting from E4, and increadible on E6 as she deals a lot of break damage
Surely it will stack. The keyword is in the description where it says "Additionally" kind of like how they make descriptions for Light Cones. Also i agree with HMC, i don't think this will be worth running on them, unless you're playing HMC as your hypercarry but who would :) You want to run this set on your main break based damage dealers but HMC is a support unit meant to buff others with break and as such they will be much better off with the Watchmaker set which will buff your entire team with BE.
Maybe Yunli or Feixiao might use it. But that's like after the 2.3 update.

I think the new sets are mainly for Firefly and New Character not released yet. Genshin will do this. They did it recently with arlechino domain
Super break uses the attacking characters' stats. The only thing taken from mc for super break is the trace to buff its damage 20 to 60.
Looks like we are getting 5* super break character someday, there is no point of making relic set that buffs HMC Superbreak only 🤔
I'm totally agree with you with the Wind-Soaring set. It's very situational lol. It's so unfortunate that kind of set is unusable for Argenti who his damage is MAJORITY in his ultimate a literal ult bot (and it's also his 1st rerun like what?) and arguably Acheron too but she had her own set already. JY, Jade, and Himeko could use it but I mean... they really just using their ultimate for utility most of the times rather than damage. JY to increase LL stacks, Jade for enhancing her FUA, Himeko for breaking enemies to... you guess it to use her FUA 💀. Blade could use it too I guess but his damage is all over the place and he already have his own signature set lol.

I'm convinced the Wind Soaring set is for future FUA characters. Wouldn't be the first time that the devs released a relic set that didn't fit the current characters when they're changing up the meta.

On my Boothill I have 145 speed and 270 break effect with a 2pc+2pc combo. Got some good rolls. How long and how many resources will it take to get equivalent stats on a 4pc Iron Cavalry? I am already praying to the RNG Gods to win my 50/50's... xD

well same except I gave him 4pc thief. Honestly I'm too lazy to farm the new relic set and I'm not sure if it's worth it. I might not even get decent pieces while I already have pretty good ones (from boss fights lol) Maybe I will farm it during double drop event and we'll see if I get anything good

How bad do you think the set powercreep has been 1 year in (vs. powercreep in E0 chars, higher Es, and enemy)? I had the impression that off set gear with good subs were doable in 1.x but are less and less doable these days
The first patch set aren’t great in the first place except for 3 set. Quantum set is still really good even for non quantum characters, wuthering guard set can be good for certain setup, wind set is one of the best high investment relic in the game.

It is hard to call it powercreep, when majority of the 1.0 and 1.2 sets are mostly general use (and few were pretty bad on release), and are still good 2nd or 3rd option on many characters, while newer sets are much more niche and focus on specific mechanics or teams.
Like the only set that I would even consider being powercreept by a newer release is SSS, and even it is still good on certain characters.

I've got 20 fuel saved to spend on this domain. The follow-up set won't be great for me since I'm skipping Jade but I'm 100% pulling for Firefly and I'll be needing at least 2 sets, one for her and onr for Boothill.
cavalry is only boot’s bis by a small percentage unless he has stuff like e1, s1, and an e1 ruanmei as well as other defense shredders. if only they hadn’t locked the half the set purely for superbreak since now he can’t use it all that well.
It's his bis with hmc in the team all you said is just to stack Def ignore for more dmg and hmc unlocks superbreak for this set since BH doesn't have it

@@midnight.blue42 def isn’t. only is against img weak where hmc can also supply a good amount of break caliber to targets. bronya’s turn looping is far too strong for a break dps with no access to that on his own, and boot has his own supplemental break damage built into his own kit that has nothing to do woth super break. not sure what your testing consists of but this has already been documented and calced/sheeted and also seen in actual gameplay.
@@prettyandrich both HMC and Ruan Mei give him break effect. He seemed to do more damage than with HMC+Bronya or Ruan Mei+Bronya. Of course I might be wrong because I'm just talking about bigger numbers on the screen. I didn't calcuate anything and I didn't check clearing time. I dont have Ruan Mei myself I used My friend's Ruan Mei
Wonder if Gallagher would benefit from the break set
He would in a super break team assuming you just want to focus on his damage. But I think the general consensus will still be that going 2 piece break, 2 piece hacker space for speed will be the easier and more versatile.
Gallagher only does significant damage when he 1) breaks an enemy, 2) does his Ult, or enhanced basic in a super break team while enemies are broken.
So half the time or more his attacks are insignificant. That's why people focus on a high speed so that he can gain his Ult and enhanced basic more often.
The Valorous set is clearly tricky. It's made for a character with a quite strong Ultimate focus who also possesses a FuA ability. Right now no one seems to really match the criteria. The upcoming Yunli looks like the best guess for now; we'll see when the 2.4 beta starts.

(Crit)Kafka, Xueiyi, Qinque, and Himeko sound like they could benefit from it. But then again, it doesn't look like it would beat their current sets.

I think the Valorous set is a setup set for a future character.
Stat tuning Xueyi is going to be difficult with the new set since you really don’t want more than 240% break effect on her, so the goal will be to reach exactly 250%. The quantum set is just going to be easier to build.

I think they are quite similar as both are very easy to build compared to Crit based characters. Crit characters are easier to be power crept while DoT & Break teams have longer life spans.
I think Wind-Soaring could be a good generic set. Ignore the FuA proc, its 12% atk and 6% cr. I'd that that's comparable to 2p/2p.
Xueyi could benefit from the new set.. especially e6 xueyi

Wind Soaring set is clearly for new character, currently we don't have unit that have FuA as enabler and Ultimate as his/her main source of damage.
We have Argenti and Acheron as Ult machine but they don't even have FuA.
Best bet would be Yanqing, but I'm not sure if the set would increase his overall DPS, the diff might be miniscule at best (need to be tested).
On average it should be better than 4-pc Ice, and it's only real competition would be Pioneer on Yanqing which depends entirely on how you feel about limiting team options.
@@JGDGkot ice set already gives 25CDMG for 2 turn. It is less consistent but yanqing has natural crit rate to make the effect "consistent" enough. Wind Soaring might give better dmg but IMO wont be really that big (10% Ice Dmg + 25 CDMG for 2 turns vs. 12% atk + 36DMG for 1 turn)
@@ValentinoNicko The difference won't be massive, but that is usually the case with new sets (the only time it isn't is when previous options were bad or when new set was made specifically to buff the character).
Also a well build Yanqing has a ton of Crit DMG (especially after Ult), which reduces the impact of the Crit DMG buffs. And don't forget about the 6% Crit rate from 4-pc, it is pretty impactful.
@@JGDGkot You don't get reduced impact on DMG%. 35% is 35% and 36% is 36%, The one that got diminish return is ATK, due to the formula calculate ATK vs enemy DEF, DMG% is just multiplier.
6% CR is good, but in context for Yanqing, he already got 20% CR from talent, and 60%CR from ult, which is more than enough. 6%CR is nice to have on ult downtime, but not that good to actually sink energy to farm this relics.
@@ValentinoNicko What? Every stat has diminishing returns, getting 20 DMG% has a bigger impact when you have 100% than when you have 200%. And ATK isn't a part of DEF formula, in fact ATK stat is only used when abilities say that something scales with it.
Also about CR, just build Yanqing with less of it, so set bonus replaces 2 CR subs, especially since you are replacing set anyway.

Valorous is bad even on jade quantum set is just better. The only way i can see it bring good is a future character whos ultimate does follow ups so you can buff it consistently or something idk

The break set works ONLY whenver u run hmc or on firefly. Anyone that doeset want hmc like boothill or xueyi get the same if not more vlaue from quantum set.
The "followup" set is the worst one in the game that doesent work on a single character, not even the one that is releasing the same patch.
The relics were just so much better before....
