- 00:00 Intro, 00:24 Otto Link STM USA, 01:01 1950s Berg Larsen, 01:40 Dukoff Stubby, 02:16 Link 4**** Model, 02:53 Sugal Super Gonz, 03:23 Daddario Jazz Select, 03:54 Selmer Soloist (modern), 04:27 Selmer Soloist Style
Good demonstration of how a player basically produces the same tone with any functioning mouthpiece and a decent reed.
With the exception of the soloist F which sounded quite different, your tonal concept in your mind is so strong and your control and manipulation of tone is extremely flexible in that it almost doesn’t matter which mouthpiece you play, you’ll eventually adapt and sound like you. Cool to have all those pieces though and thanks for the video.
The Solist Style C** is truly amazing. Beautiful sound and respectable volume.
Wow! What a sound - what exercises do you recommend for sound development?
I think the OL STM USA impressed me the most. I would prefer it. I myself play a Vintage HR OL on a 91xxx Mk6 - maybe I'm a little biased...
Thank you and all the best to you.
There is magic in a good Otto Link, no doubt. Thanks for your thoughts!
@@Popesax Magic, haha!
My favorite had to be the Berg. Definitely comfy on all of them though!
Thanks for listening! The Berg is really special, although it isn't the easiest to play. It has a fifties vibe, for sure.
The last Selmer piece sounds like you talking! sounds like your Voice!! ALL great though!
Great! Really interesting!
Gostei mas da primeira e da ultima, a otto link STM e a selmer solist.
