I have a question if you could help me out IMGs have much more time (on average a year followed by a dedicated period) before taking STEP 1 as compared to American medical students who directly go into a dedicated period right after 2nd year of med school. So, in this case, would you suggest starting with Uworld and going through it twice or starting with another Q bank and then coming to Uworld? Thank you so much for these priceless videos
Kaplan usmle worst company and review ever- passive learning where inexperience prof regurgitate or read off xerox copy binder note for $$$ why need to seat in drama class again, I know a lot of drop out IMG have taken the Kaplan live-course failed!

So I’m coming near the end of my 1st year of medical school and I want to start doing AMBOSS questions during the summer, but I’m also kinda not sure if that makes sense because I haven’t seen any of the 2nd year material yet. Is it a good idea to start doing AMBOSS questions over the summer after my 1st year even if I run into questions where I haven’t learned the material yet?
Harpreet Singh My experience is that AAMC practice exams and other AAMC materials was what was primarily useful. I only did 2-3 3rd party full length exams and helped primarily with timing. This is regarding every section but CARS which I think could always benefit from more practice. 131, 128, 131, 132. Nail down content review and you got this !!
100% agree with you. Second pass was good back in the day when Uworld was miles ahead of the rest. Amboss and others are now closing the gap

Qs are a great way to learn, IMO as long as you’re preparing for exam (studying from material like FA) then it’s always a good idea to do Qs..
