    Just INSANE prices for a studio and 1 bedroom both of these are TRIPLE $$ what we pay for our 3200 sq ft home in California 🌴

    The prices are so high. $4,000 a month for a bed in the lounge room 😂. That $7,000 australian $ a month. Who earns these disposable dollars? $2,000 a week to live in a light box close to many train stations.

    I find your videos are the best NYC real estate tours on CZcams as they are to the point, get all the facts and don't waffle on. My favourite is number two with the sun drenched terrace but I also love the cheapest/Soho with the tree outlook; I could happily live there! Thanks from Australia

    I’m a new sub to your channel but just wanted to say your videos are great! I appreciate your rating system and the way you review the apartments, very informative. Also, I appreciate you defending NYC, it’s not a cesspool at all, every city has its problems but being the largest in the USA, and maybe the world brings unique challenges but overall, I love NYC. Maybe someday I’ll get back there!

    My new real estate channel. Great Vid. I love the filming of the insides. Nice, quick, scan. The only thing I didn't care for was the big bold blackout of the outside by the headline of the address. It blocks the neighborhood view which is a pretty important element of why people choose to live where they do. But all in all, very well made videos for sure!

      I've considered doing my own apartment but I'm on the fence about putting my home out there for security purposes. If I don't do one soon though I promise to do one before I eventually move! Although fair warning, I won't be moving for a while.

    I like your rating system. It is based on fact and not opinion which is fair. I can't get over the expense of NYC living. Based on your previous video of what is needed to rent an apartment I don't see how the average income earners can afford to live in Manhattan unless they take on a bunch of roommates or live in tiny little boxes. I agree with you though, the city holds a fascination to me that could never be rivaled. I live in Alberta Canada and years ago I was able to live on my own in a 1 bd apartment for a couple of years. I was young and had no savings, just check to check but I still had no problems with affordability. I guess I never realized just how lucky I was. Nowadays rents have gone crazy here too but not as high as Manhattan. I find myself looking forward to your video's. I love your approach and down to earth nature. Thank you very much.

    Interesting video thanks, I have to agree totally with your comment about some of the comments on here degrading New York City, proper, if you could afford it, which is probably a very high bar for most, I would take the city and live in a smaller place versus living in the suburbs also any day. Love living in a city and what it offers me as a human being compared to some very boring suburb where I basically feel lost and out of place.

    Of course I love the last apartment, but I also really liked the first studio in Tribeca! All of these neighborhoods are incredible. What is your favorite neighborhood in Manhattan??

    • @hayley_bailiff
      @hayley_bailiff  Před měsícem +2

      I really like a good studio too! I also like the kitchen being separate, just a personal preference.
      And my favorite neighborhood is tough! It depends on what I'm looking to go do. I just renewed my lease so I won't be moving anytime soon but I would love to move to the Soho area next. The only down side is the nearest park is Washington Square Park, which would only be close if you lived in the northern part of Soho. Not a bad walk, but not exactly around the corner.

    I enjoy your apartment tours. Regarding NYC…
    I visit the City about 4/5 times a year for concerts etc. One thing that annoys me more and more each year is all the scaffolding on the sidewalks. I wouldn’t mind if the building owners were doing repairs, but that’s rarely the case.
    They don’t have this problem in Chicago, or other cities with tall buildings.

      @hayley_bailiff  Před 27 dny

      Pretty much the further from downtown Manhattan you get the more affordable the city becomes! Brooklyn/Queens right along the East River are pretty pricey, but if you go a few subway stops in you can pay significantly less. Upper Manhattan also tends to have much more affordable units, at least more affordable by NYC standards.

    Wow! The moment you realize that New Yorkers are settling for less, just to have a place to live. NOTHING about NY so called deals impress me, when I have lived in both California Las Vegas and Now Seattle and the amenities that come with an apartment- NY has to do without. Good Bye.

      Unfortunately most management companies require a SSN and credit history. Their best bet would be to try and find an individual building owner who would be willing to help them out! Maybe they will have luck on a website called listings project where you have to be the owner or current tenant to post, and all posts are verified by their team. They update the list every Wednesday
