Reece Smith Yeah I saw that but I didn't think that he would be the one doing the intro. With Steph's bajillion strings and Serge's 6 string on this album it's hard to discern which is playing which sometimes.
True, it's really cool though, all three of the guitars have different parts and effects. With the differently stringed guitars it makes things a lot more interesting :)

Every Deftones album has it's unique theme and tone, and that's a good thing, it's not the same thing, something's always changed up. For me, it takes a couple of times to like a song, if it doesn't grow on me, then it means it's just not to my taste. But both Gore and Saturday Night Wrist are awesome albums, as are other albums :)
I'll probably get trolled for this but I hate that Sergios bass is considered a 6 string bass. It just seems like it's a true baritone guitar. I've played on 6 string bass guitars and I would never classify that as a 6 string bass. Idk whatever.
+Antonio Melendez It's not a baritone guitar either. Baritone guitars are down a few tones, but his guitar is literally an octave below a guitar. I wouldn't classify it as a 6 string or a baritone - it's a Bass VI, and it's its own thing
Rich Robb they’re awesome! You can do what Sergio did for the album, top three strings are guitar strings, bottom three are bass strings, or you can play it as a regular guitar, or a six string bass or both! It’s amazing what you can do with it!

Strange, I think they don't sound drony at all. There's beauty in their simplicity. Also his guitar tone sucks ass and the middle pickup on his guitar is fucking retarded. Otherwise I'd have a carpenter signature Ltd 7 right now. It would be perfect with just the bridge pickup.
